96 good enough for Nambucca Bellingen in Tamworth
MANNING and Nambucca Bellingen scored thrilling wins as Tamworth and Coffs Harbour registered comfortable victories on day three of the Tamworth Under 14 Carnival at Riverside yesterday.
Nambucca Bellingen produced the best effort, defending a small 96 run total against Hastings at Dick Edwards Oval, taking the final wicket with just an over left.
Middleton (16) opened the batting too and with Fletcher Aldous (18) made runs in the top order as Nambucca’s Jared Baldwin (2 10 Peyton Manning Jersey off 10) and Brad Ahearn (2 11) grabbed early wickets
Tom Barbour, Jesse Vincent Ellis and Austyn Nugent also grabbed a wicket apiece while Cooper Nugent came back in his second spell to claim 3 13 off his eight overs.
Jake Reimer Madden (12no) and Ben Stocks (7) threatened to win the game with their last wicket partnership but Nugent trapped Stocks lbw with his final ball to dismiss Hastings for 89.
At Riverside 5, Lismore had made a competitive 147 after good knocks Authentic Wes Welker Jersey from Jacob Graham (40), Matt Vrckoff (19)and Kaleb Auld (15).
Josh Essery was best of the Manning bowlers, taking 4 29, while Ben Reynolds snared 2 11.
Manning finished 9 148 after Aaron Dodd (47no) and Billy McGowan (9no) put on 23 for the final wicket.
Dodd hit seven fours in his match winning innings while James McBride (21), Jacob Black (16) and Max Elliott (11) also chipped in.
Tom Carlton (4 31) was best of the Lismore bowlers while Joe Lee (1 22), Flynn Northfield (1 19) and Will Parsons (1 8) also had success.
Coffs Harbour had the easiest win, beating Quirindi by six wickets at Riverside 2 after routing Quirindi for 47.
Ethan Atkinson (3 9), skipper Raman Authentic Peyton Manning Jersey Phoonie (3 10), John Critton (1 8) and Keedon Corliss (2 13) shared the bowling honours as only Daniel Rea (15) reached double figures.
The chase wasn’t easy though, Coffs losing four wickets as Hayden Taylor (2 5), Jake Douglas (1 9) and Oska Brooker (1 1) struck back.
Taylor was particularly impressive, taking 2 0 off his first three overs and having a sharp catch put down as well.
Phoonie remained on 16 while Jackson White (12) also looked good.
At Max Sutton Oval, Tamworth was guided to a solid 150 by injured Lachlan Fauchon against West Pennant Hills Cherrybrook.
Fauchon was unbeaten on 46 when Tamworth was dismissed after Tom Fitzgerald (20), Matt Bryant (15) and Sam Atwell (12) had Womens Wes Welker Jersey made crucial runs.
Jack Dickinson (5 17) was the main destroyer for WPHC while Patrick Phillips (2 21) also had the hosts in trouble.
Dickinson (19) also delivered with the bat, with Isaac Bingham (33) but they were rolled for 98.
Will Anderson (3 11) struck again while Atwell (3 17) completed a good all round game in the 52 run win.
“It was a real good team effort,” coach Simon Hood said.
“We bowled in the heat and they all did their job. Our lower order also saved Womens Peyton Manning Jersey us today so our top order bats need to improve.”
