In September 2025, Appotronics released the industry’s first underwater blue-light LiDAR product. Global production of underwater blue-light LiDARs is projected to reach 48,000 units in 2025, with an estimated average selling price of US5.71 per unit and a gross profit margin of 28.31%-45%. Its downstream customers include pool cleaning robot manufacturers, such as Wangyuan Technology. With the rapid penetration of pool cleaning robots, global demand is expected to exceed 10 million units in 2026, leading to a surge in underwater blue-light LiDAR production.
Currently, most mainstream lidar systems use infrared lasers, which exhibit strong penetration, long-range ranging capabilities, and wide applicability in terrestrial environments.
