Top fashion designers are showing support for Hillary with pro-Clinton T-shirts – and Emma Roberts, Demi Lovato, and Kendall Jenner are fans

His wife may be a former model, but it seems that Donald Trump has lost the fashion crowd vote to Hillary Clinton.

Of course, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour has been a longtime, vocal advocate for the Democratic candidate. But recently, several top designers have also thrown their support behind Hillary — in addition to their design skills.

Star-studded: Several designers have created limited edition T-shirts for Hillary Clinton's campaign, which have been worn by stars like Christy Turlington Burns (pictured)

photos:graduation dresses uk

Marc Jacobs, Marchesa’s Georgina Chapman, Diane von Furstenberg, and Prabal Gurung are just a few of the famous fashion pros who’ve created limited-edition T-shirts to benefit the former Secretary of State’s campaign, and the pro-Hillary tops have already been snatched up by a slew of celebrities.

The merchandise, part of a special ‘Made for History’ collection, is available to buy on Hillary’s campaign website for $45 apiece.

Rag and Bone’s David Neville and Marcus Wainwright, jeweler Monique Péan, Public School’s Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, Joseph Altuzarra, Pamela Love, and jeweler Eva Fehren also contributed designs to the collection — and several of the designers also offered words of support.

‘No matter what stands in her way, she stays true to herself and her belief that we all deserve a chance to succeed… and that is why I am proud to stand with Hillary!’ Diane von Furstenberg explained of her shirt, which shows a silhouette holding a pro-Hillary flag and reads ‘Proud to support Madame President’.

‘My support for Hillary is grounded on our long-standing shared belief in equality,’ added Marc Jacobs when discussing his contribution, which has a 3D rendering of the candidate’s face and has been worn by Ms. Wintour and Kendall Jenner.

Marchesa’s Georgina Chapman, who has co-hosted fundraisers with her husband, producer Harvey Weinstein, said: ‘ Hillary inspires me with her determination and confidence. Her remarkable leadership and unwavering commitment to equal rights are admirable.’

Tory Burch’s tee is emblazoned with rainbow letters spelling out the famous words the Democrat spoke in China two decades ago: ‘Women’s rights are human rights.’

The shirt by Joseph Altuzarra has a version of her ‘H’ logo, which the designer said ‘represents her straightforwardness and her unwavering vision for the country’.

‘Personally, I am supporting Hillary because I believe she represents the future — and has the experience and knowledge to carry out change on issues that matter to the country, such as equal pay for women, LGBT equality, climate change and energy,’ he added.

Clearly one of the more popular designs, Prabal Gurung’s red T-shirt has already sold out — though there still seem to be some shirts left designed by Tanya Taylor, whose striped number has been a particular favorite of the Hollywood set.

‘Hillary Clinton’s glass ceiling shattering campaign is testament to the progress America has made for women’s global equality,’ Tanya said. ‘My design for Hillary’s historic campaign is a classic varsity tee, inspired by team unity and iconic Americana. Her dedication to nurturing entrepreneurial spirit, improving access to higher education and protecting the American people are some of the reasons I’m With Her.’

Demi Lovato, Emma Roberts, and Chirsty Turlington Burns seem to agree. All three women have been spotted in Tanya’s limited-edition shirt.

Debra Messing also has Prabal Gurung’s tee, while Georgina Champman’s Marchesa partner Keren Craig and actress Alyssa Milano both have her beaded design. Chloe Moretz has showed off her DVF T-shirt on Instagram.

Celebrities have been coming out en masse to support Clinton, including Sigourney Weaver, Elizabeth Banks, Connie Britton, Meryl Streep, Uzo Aduba, Kerry Washington, George Clooney, Robert de Niro, Salma Hayek, Katy Perry, Reese Witherspoon, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Bryan Cranston.

Donald Trump’s Hollywood supporters include Scott Baio, Dennis Rodman, Jon Voight, Gary Busey, Mike Tyson, Kid Rock, Willie and Phil Robertson, Azealia Banks, Hulk Hogan, Ted Nugent, Teresa Giudice, and Tila Tequila.

However, celebrities who voice support for candidates have been known to get attacked for their preferences on social media by followers who disagree with their choices — and don’t think actors or singers should have anything to do with politics.

After actress America Ferrera spoke out in favor of Hillary at the DNC, she addressed her critics on Real Time with Bill Maher.

‘I’m not here as a celebrity, I’m here as a person who has a lot to lose in this election,’ she said, before adding later on Instagram: ‘Please stop telling me to shut up because I’m an actor. I am an American, and like everyone else, there’s a lot at stake for me in this election.’

Hot Red Dress Run mess is coming Aug. 13, New Orleans

The annual Red celebrity dresses Run is almost upon us. On Aug. 13, a small army of otherwise ordinary citizens will gather in Armstrong Park, beginning at 9 a.m., for a spirited combination of a bar crawl and a two-mile run through the French Quarter at 11 a.m.

The group jog will include both male and female hopps-infused athletes, united by their unconventional choice of athletic attire: red dresses, augmented by feathery scarlet hats, inauthentic wigs, tiaras, capes, etc.

Considering the unfortunate fashion collisions of form-fitting summertime shifts and abundant back hair, sexy scarlet bustiers and chunky sneaks, tutus and tube socks, not to mention the effect of profuse perspiration on feather boas, the annual Red Dress Run can be, well, not a pretty sight.

But whatever the event lacks in ordinary aesthetic appeal, the beer-guzzling jog is inarguably a beautiful thing.

Last year, the 4000 red dress wearers reportedly raised $169,000 for 73 local charities. In the 22-year history of the New Orleans event, the run has generated more than $1 million, according to Patty Patterson, who describes herself as a member of the “event mismanagement.”

The run is produced by the New Orleans Chapter of the venerable Hash House Harriers, an international non-competitive joggers organization that self-deprecatingly calls itself “a drinking club with a running problem.”

But you needn’t be a Hasher to join the sweaty fun Aug. 13, Patterson said. Everyone is welcome to register right up to the morning of the event, though, the sooner you sign up, the cheaper the fee.

Before Aug. 7, the price is $60. After that, it’s $70, and, on the day of the run, it jumps to $80. The fee includes unlimited beer, a barbecue lunch and snowballs, plus live music in Armstrong Park.

According to impeccable Internet sources (okay, Wikipedia), the Hash House Harriers’ convivial exercise tradition dates back to some regretfully hung-over British Army officers stationed in Malaysia in 1938. It’s since spread around the world.

The Red Dress Run, which is also a global phenomenon, apparently got its start in 1987 when a female onlooker spontaneously joined a Hash House Harriers jog in Long Beach California while wearing her daily attire: a red dress. Inspired by her verve, Hashers have made the costume a custom.

Patterson confessed that she, and plenty of other participants, don’t exactly run like Pheidippides (a really good ancient Greek runner) during the August event. In fact, she said, she more or less strolls. The route, she said, won’t be announced until just before the run.

Anyone can show up in a red MarieProm graduation dresses and join in, Patterson said. But she hopes that as many people as possible will register officially because it boosts the club’s charitable contributions.

How Glossier’s Emily Weiss Is Using The Internet To Build A Beauty Brand For Generation Instagram

There are beauty brands that consider social media when they develop marketing campaigns. And then there’s Glossier, the cult favorite skincare company that designs its products hoping — knowing, even — that young women will want to post their purchases on Instagram.

Take Glossier’s $22 face masks, the two-year-old brand’s highest-rated product in terms of customer reviews. Its pastel-hued jars were conceived with smartphone photography in mind.

“We spent an enormous amount of time with an illustrator designing a really ornate, colorful illustration and sticker for the top of the product,” said Emily Weiss, the company’s founder and CEO. “You’re so excited to see that and take it out and take a picture of it, like you would food — the perspective of holding your iPhone over a plate of food.”

Glossier’s face masks include ornately-designed tops, intended to be shared on social media. Photo c/o Glossier.

Have a look at the #Glossier hashtag on Instagram and it’s clear Weiss had the right idea. The brand’s millennial fan base is so devoted that its products regularly rack up waiting lists in the tens of thousands. Theybuy $60 sweatshirts with the company’s name across the chest. Traditional luxury beauty brands can only dream of inspiring that sort of loyalty.

Weiss takes us behind the scenes of Glossier’s early days on this week’s episode of Forbes’ Million$, a podcast hosted by yours truly. Every other Tuesday, I talk with self-made women entrepreneurs about the good, the bad, and the ugly of founding and funding a business.

The 2015 Forbes 30 Under 30 list member tells how she raised over $10 million in venture capital funding during Glossier’s first year to grow the direct-to-consumer company.

She also discusses why having a woman investor on board was crucial to Glossier’s early success. Branded e-commerce pioneer Kirsten Green of all-women VC firm Forerunner Ventures led the company’s 2013 seed round.

When Weiss approached Green, it was with a question rather than a fully-formed pitch: “Wouldn’t it be so cool if we could use the Internet to build a better beauty brand?”

Weiss came armed with insight from her popular beauty blog Into The Gloss, which started as a side project in 2010 when she was a fashion assistant at Vogue. She’d work on Into The Gloss between 4am and 7am every morning, doing photo shoots on weekends.

“There was a full year between the launch of Into The Gloss and when I quit my day job,” she said. “I think that’s important in an era when there are a lot of inspirational quotes on Instagram telling you to follow your dreams and seize the day.”

Listen to Million$ podcast here. Subscribe to Million$ on iTunes, and if you like what you hear, please feel free to rate and review. There’ll be new episodes online every other Tuesday.

Selena Gomez, 23, shared some racy tops that may not be appropriate for young fans. The post featured three ladies wearing black mesh turtlenecks with denim patches barely cover their breasts. The shirts feature a black and white color scheme with Selena Gomez’s autographed initials on the front. There is no word on when the remainder of Selena Gomez’s new Revival Tour fashion line will go live.

According to Sugarscape, the line will include bomber jackets, bodysuits, and two-piece outfits. Selena decided to team up with edgy fashion designer, Sam Miro, who is the face of her company, Sam Miro Vintage. In case you didn’t know, Sami is a model and fashion blogger who also dated Zac Efron.

Unfortunately, the pieces in the collection are not going to be affordable. Most of the items listed on Miro’s website are a whopping $210 each. Unless you have a really good job or you’re rich, you won’t be able to snag any of Gomez’s new clothes. The three suits, along with the python print Gomez wore on stage, are available now on the Sami Miro Vintage website.

The singer’s costumes on her Revival Tour have been very sexy in style. It’s a step up from the “classy” image she portrayed during her Stars Dance World Tour. According to IQ-Mag, Gomez’s outfits included black sheer bodysuits, Swarovski crystal-embezzled catsuits, and sweeping floor-length gowns. She’s even showed some skin in a daring evening gown with a plunging neckline and the above-mentioned sheer turtleneck.

Going all out: Pascal Craymer flaunts curvaceous assets in lacy negligee

Leigh-on-Sea girl Pascal, 29, was once best known for her short but sweet cameo on TOWIE as Mario Falcone’s fling.

Nowadays it is probably fair to say we are far more familiar with her thanks to her eye-catching figure.

The ex-international gymnast was flaunting her physique at a fashion show for Forever Unique at a boutique in her hometown.

Starting off with a blue lace number, the skimpy bra and knicker set was brought to life on Pascal’s impeccably tanned and toned body.

Moving onto a black and white floral two-piece, not only did the thong show off Pascal’s pert booty but her holiday tan lines too.

Finally a purple sheer set was enough to confirm Pascal has curves in all the right places.

Just yesterday at Playboy’s 50th anniversary party Pascal made it very clear where her ambitions lay.

Sarah McBride Addresses the 2016 DNC to Declare “I Am a Proud Transgender American”

History was made Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention, when Sarah McBride became the first transgender American to address the DNC.

“My name is Sarah McBride, and I am a proud transgender American,” she declared to the audience, which welcomed her with sustained applause.

Sarah McBride Addresses the 2016 DNC to Declare

McBride is one of nearly 30 transgender delegates at the DNC.

She was introduced by gay members of Congress, including Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney of New York, who in his introduction declared, “Sarah, it’s about time” a transgender person spoke at the DNC.

McBride told her story about coming out as transgender while serving as student body president of American University.

Still, McBride said that there is still work to do for transgender Americans to be accepted. She urged Americans to vote for Hillary Clinton, who she said understands that “everyone has the freedom to live openly and equally.”

McBride said her belief that Clinton needs to be elected grew stronger after the death of her husband, who died of cancer at the age of 28 just four days after they were married.

“Knowing Andy left me profoundly changed,” McBride said of her late husband. “But more than anything else, his passing told me that every day matters when it comes to living your life to the fullest.”

‘MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT’ NEWS: LILLIAN VILCHEZ SPEAKS OUT ABOUT HER WEDDING DAY

The new season of Married at First Sight just started airing last night, and now the new cast is ready to let the fans get to know them better. People shared that Lillian Vilchez shared a blog post and explained all about what made her decide to get married this way and more. She was left with a broken heart from her last relationship and was hoping that this time would be different.

Lillian Vilchez is now married to Tom Wilson after meeting him on the same day they would tie the knot. Lillian shared why she decided to do this experience saying, “The matching on Married at First Sight is based on many different factors, including core values, psychological evaluations, personality assessments and one-on-one. The extensive process is what drew me to the show. I mean, these experts have to take this seriously – their careers are on the line.”

Lillian shared that she went into this knowing 100 percent that this was what she wanted to do. She didn’t doubt the process. As soon as they told her that she had a match, she started to imagine her fairy tale. Lillian revealed all about how her mom was the first person she called saying, “Some people would be nervous or even scared that they got chosen, but I was ecstatic! I couldn’t believe that I was lucky enough to get matched, and I would be meeting my future hubby in just TWO weeks! My initial reaction was to call my mom – hearing her voice is always so calming. But I immediately realized that this time was different. She went right in and started highlighting the terrifying reality of the situation, and the nerves suddenly started kicking in.”

When it came to this process, Lillian knew she was taking a lot of chances, but it was worth it to her. She looked at the pros and cons then decided that it was worth it. Lillian took her mom out shopping with her for her wedding cheap prom dresses.

View image on Twitter55 Retweets 2929 likesOne thing everyone remembers about Lillian Vilchez is that she freaked out over the idea of pearls on her wedding day. She explained that this is a culture thing and that in Latin culture pearls mean “tears of the sea.” She was going to be marrying someone she didn’t know so this was a huge chance for her to take. Then her new husband got her pearls, which was shocking and not what she had planned. Lillian shared her thoughts.

“My first reaction was to quickly put them on. They were so beautiful and I wanted everyone to see me wearing them. I wanted my husband to see me wearing them, so I asked my mom to put them on me. But I noticed she was super hesitant and for a moment I forgot why. ‘It’s bad luck!’ my sister said. My heart immediately dropped. Here I was, holding these beautiful pearls that my future husband got for me and was probably expecting me to wear as I walked toward him for the first time, and I simply couldn’t. Suddenly, the thought of not walking down the aisle wearing them brought tears to my eyes.”Between the pearls and the rain, Lillian was very concerned that these were all bad signs. Only time will tell if Lillian and Tom are able to get their marriage to work out long-term. Everyone can’t wait to see if these Married at First Sightcouples have really found love or not.

FYI also explained a bit the fact that this curse that Lillian was worried about might just not mean anything. Also, a rainy day is seen as lucky, so Lillian needs to remember that could be a good thing. A lot of people also believe in something borrowed, blue, old and new needing to be at the wedding, but others get married just fine without it.

View image on Twitter11 Retweet 1010 likesAre you shocked to see that these three couples got married at first sight? Do you think that the marriage between Lillian and Tom will work out? Sound off in the comments section below on your thoughts, and don’t miss new episodes of Married at First Sight on Sundays on A&E.

Our Bridal Muse: Audrey Hepburn As Jo Stockton

As gorgeous as Audrey Hepburn’s own wedding gown was, there is something endearing and spellbinding about the cheap evening dresses uk she donned in Funny Face (1957), as Jo Stockton. Perhaps considered the quintessential short wedding dress, the simplicity and classic appeal of her character’s bridal costume cannot be denied.

744ec9b79f1349494c51a9422b4bab57The straight neckline, capped sleeve and dropped waistline are perfectly suited to Hepburn’s petite frame. The volume of the skirt does not disguise her tiny waist as it cleverly starts from the hips, and its tea-length hem is both practical and beautiful. It ends just at the lower calf, allowing her to dance and move, whilst still embodying gracefulness and soft femininity. The stunning photograph of Hepburn being spun into the air by her co-star Fred Astaire captures this feeling perfectly.

In terms of accessories, the look is quite minimal. The veil is light with a dotted texture, topped with a charming bow. It appears to be tucked in toward the back of the dress creating volume around the shoulders – a nice touch of drama around the face. The veil then flows down her back to the hem of the dress, however it looks particularly gorgeous when it is gathered around her arm. Pearl earrings, round-toe shoes with a low heel and plain white gloves complete the look.

The beauty style is representative of Hepburn’s signature look. Her enviable eyebrows are thick and dark, sitting atop dark lined eyes and finished with a soft rosy lip. Her hair is pulled back tightly, forming a bun to the back of the head which is hidden by the veil, emphasising her beautiful face without distraction.

Audrey Hepburn/Jo Stockton is inspiration for any bride lusting after a classic and minimal approach to bridal wear. She is particularly important for brides who are working with a petite frame, as everything in this look is working with Hepburn’s height and figure.
