王者が履くシューズ履かなくてどうするの！なんてノリで私もナイキデビューしました。
足元の宇宙船こと、エア ズーム ウルトラフライ。
セレナモデルは女子用しかなく、足首周りの安定感が欲しい自分にとってこのシューズの存在はまさに決定打。
錦織の移籍に興味を惹かれ、こんな良さそうなのが出ていたらこうなっちゃうよね。ニューバラで固めるつもりだったのに・・・。
で、冷静になってシューズを見てみると足首周りはサポート力よりフィット感の方が重視されていそうなニット状。
本当にちゃんと横の動きに対応してくれるだろうか？
そしてMC906のような幅広さとは打って変わって全体的に縦に長い。
陸上のスパイクを参考にした、とは聞いていたが、実物を目にするとこんな形で横にブレないのかと不信感が沸いてくる。
アウトソールも一体型じゃないと強度が不安・・・まあこれは一体型じゃないのも沢山あるけどね。
しかしこの造形を見る度にだんだんテニス用じゃないように見えてくる。
なんでこんな風にしちゃったんだ！？
そんな不安の中プレーしてみると、意外と悪くない。
踵から足首にかけてニット素材がフィットし、しっかり追随してくれる。
これは横にも強いやつだ。
前へ走り出すと結構スピードが出る気がする。
思ったより自由に動ける。
縦長にホールドされる足元の印象を大きく裏切る操縦性がある。
まさに足元の宇宙船、悪く言うとまだ使って日が浅いから船に乗らされている気分ですが、面白いシューズです。
アシックスなりミズノなり日本製のシューズは凄い、海外でも認められている、なんて話は前々から聞きますが、テニスにおいて王者のシューズはやはりナイキなのかもしれない。
モンフィスやゴファン、カルロビッチやバグダディスといった一流どころと契約なんて少し前まではしていなかったから、これからどんどん認められていくのだろうけども。
特にミズノは日本じゃまだ軟式のイメージの方が強いのでは？
軟式だけのイメージから世界のトッププロが使うシューズへと完全に変わる日は来るのだろうか？
そしてエア ズーム ウルトラフライ、ミズノやアシックスと同じようにナイキも多くの競技用シューズの開発を行った事によるノウハウがあり、この不思議なシューズの誕生にもそういった背景がある。
日本であえてメイド・イン・USAの技術を堪能していこうと思います。

早々と廃盤にならなきゃいいけど、やっぱ素直にズームヴェイパにしとけば良かったかな・・・？
色んな色が流通しているし、贅沢すればオールコート用でもクレー用でも好きな色で作れるって良さそう。
ナイキのシューズって日本でもオールコート用ばっかだけど、使用している日本人選手はクレーコートの時どうしてるんでしょ。
契約で特注で作ってくれるのか、まさかオールコート用で我慢しているのか。
オムニで使ってみたものの、グリップ力はそこそこあるように感じるけど、まだ一回じゃプラシーボ効果かな
