今日は市民大会の予選。
一日中雨の予報だしコート来ても普通に降ってるし延期だろうと思っていたら普通に試合でした。
会場に来てない人多かったけど、そりゃ延期だと思うよね今日の天気・・・。
こんな雨だと練習するのも稀だけど試合は初めての経験。
本番は思い切っていけってよく言うけどもこれじゃあ恐る恐るになっちゃうね。
初戦は7-3ぐらいまでいった後に追いつかれてタイブレーク。
強打で振り払えないしコントロールで精一杯だし突破口作れずダメだと思ったけど最後の最後で何とかなった。
先月の市民大会でしんどくなって折れた反省から今日は何が何でも勝つ事を意識し続けましたが、いや、しんどいもんはしんどいね。凄く辛い。
今年一番の死闘でした。
雨の中の公式戦って滅多に無いだろうけど、こういう所で耐えて勝つ経験・メンタルを得られる機会ってそうそう無いでしょ。
間違いなく経験値としてデカい。
雨中の死闘なんて魂滾るシチュエーションは必要よね。
今年は臆病・及び腰というか、今まで散々力んで負けまくったのもあって、勝つってやる気よりボールを繋げる、どうにかして調子の悪さをやり過ごすって意識が強かった気がする。
何だかんだで今年は生まれて初めての優勝を小さな草大会でこんな僕でも２回も出来たけど、攻める度胸が無くてとにかく繋げるだけのテニスだった。
ちょっと試合に勝つ難しさというのを忘れてしまっていたというか、しんどい場面ですぐに気持ちが切れていた。
予選１回戦勝つのがこんなに大変なんだからねぇ。
次の試合は3-8で今大会は予選敗退。
まあ、辛い中でよく耐えられたと思う。
今日は自分も褒めていいと思う出来。3-8だけどね。
先月の海老名より調子上向いたはず。
エスマッハもよくやってくれた。
ただ今日のコンディションじゃ強打は無理、ボールは水しぶき舞ってたしもう少しラケットにアシストがあれば・・・。
水含んでたおかげで軽い集中力でひょいっとボールをコートに入れる事もできたけど。
しかしナチュラルとのハイブリッドのままだったら初っ端で終わってたのは間違いない。
やっぱダメねナチュラルは、雨に弱いから(理不尽)
今日ので今年のシングルスの大きな大会は終わり。
今年のシングルス戦績は49試合26勝23敗。
ギリギリだけど勝ち越したのは高校時代以来かも。
大学時代は言わずもがな。去年も一昨年も負けばっか。
最近はあんまり勝ってないけど続けてきてようやく良くなってきたというか。
しかし最近は後輩に差をつけられてきてるしな、どうにかして追随しないと。
そんでもって来月は海老名ダブルス。
