この天気だけど来ちゃいました！全日本テニス選手権！
台風が接近する中、早稲田や慶應のインドアコートに分散されて有明の試合はコロシアムのみ！
見れる選手が少なければこの天気だしきっと客足も少ない！
ならば最前列で鈴木貴男選手が見放題に違いない！！いやっほぅーい！
そんなノリで久々の全日本。
僕にとって有明はジャパンオープンよりも全日本のイメージが強い。
僕のテニスは日本リーグと全日本によって大きな刺激を受けてきたのだ。
今日は本来の日程なら男子シングルスの本戦で慶應の上杉選手見たいなと思っていたものの雨によって予選第２Ｒに。
それでもこの客足は決して悪くはないと思う。
こんなに近くで一流を見れるんだから子供連れも多い。見ない手は無いもの。
最近真後ろばっかから見ていたので横からも観戦。
南側を除けば有明コロシアムで最前列に座れるという贅沢。
楽天オープンは外れてしまったが最後の有明コロシアムに座れて良かった良かった。
今日見た試合は笹井選手VS白石選手、鈴木選手VS広川選手、竹島選手VS福田選手。
(上杉選手のお兄さんの試合は間に合わず・・・。)
白石光選手は高校２年生ながら全日本に出場。
３月の高校選抜はシングルス準優勝、彼の活躍ぶりは雑誌曰く白石マジックとの事。
かなりの戦術家という事でしょうか。本人はツイッターで「なにこれ」とか言ってましたが。
笹井選手は白石選手よりスピード、威力、スピン、どれをとっても質で上回るボールで強打。
(まだ高校生とはいえ)線の細い白石選手には厳しいかと思いきや、高速ラリーを色んな手で耐えて第１セットを6-3で先制。
フォアハンドでスライスを打ったりロブを打ったり、男子でこういう手を使う選手って珍しいなと思ったものの、高めで手伸ばして打たせるロブは予想以上に効いていた。、
サーブとストロークのパワーでは笹井選手が優位でしたが、第２セット5-7、第３セット6-2で白石選手が本戦へ。
鈴木貴男選手の相手の広川選手はフラットの強打が凄い威力。
強烈なファーストサーブは容易には返させず、お得意のボレーに出られたら強打で捻じ伏せる、思い切りの良いストローク。
強打にやられる様を見て鈴木貴男ももう厳しいのか・・・？と序盤こそ思ったものの6-4、6-2。
やっぱり鈴木貴男はサービスの次元が違う。
相手のファースト並の速度で回転のかかったサービスがガンガン決まっていくのだからたまったものじゃない。
白石選手でフォアのスライス珍しいと思ったけど、そもそも鈴木選手の方がスライスの割合が多かったなそう言えば。
相手からすれば他にする人がいないようなプレーでやり辛いだろうし、何よりプレッシャーが凄いに違いない。
今年で４１歳だが一体いつまで戦うのだろうか。
そして最後に見た福田選手も41歳。
ベースラインでとにかく粘る、吼える、諦めずに走る。
年齢的に粘るプレーは厳しいのでは？とも思うが気迫溢れる粘りでメンタルの強さを感じさせる。
竹島選手はビシバシストロークで攻めるものの福田選手が喰らい付き、サイドギリギリのミスを引き出す。
最終的には竹島選手が攻め勝って6-4、6-2。
３試合と違ったタイプ同士のプレーが見られ大満足でした。
帰りの有明。
