初めてのテニスオフ主催は一昨日無事にできました。
ご閲覧下さった方、ツイッターでリツイートして下さった方、ありがとうございました。
ウォッチリストに入れて下さった方、２～３名募集だったのに１人目入った時点で速攻で締め切ってしまい申し訳ございませんでした。
自分の印象だとテニスオフって埋まるのが早い。
何故なら僕は開催の１、２日前に探し始めるからそう感じるのです。
なので何だかんだですぐ募集来るだろうと思って軽い気持ちで主催！コートも予約！
と思ったけど１日目で申請来なかった事にビビって思わずブログでも告知。
そりゃ平日開催じゃやれる人少ないか・・・。
で、そしたらブログいつも見てるよ！って方が申請して下さったのですが、事もあろうに６０ｋｍ離れた他県から海老名に来ると言うテニス星人だった。
色んな市民大会に参戦しては優勝しているというとんでもないプレーヤー。
何しに海老名に来るんですかね・・・
一応募集の要項にレベルの目安として僕の今年の戦績書いたんですけど、
・綾瀬 春ダブルス 予選２位通過（本戦棄権）
・海老名 春シングルス 予選敗退
・海老名 春選抜シングルス ２回戦敗退
・海老名 春ダブルス 予選敗退
僕のレベル知ってますか！？県境跨ぐ大遠征して良いんですか本当に！？
てっきり近所の人と程よく練習ってノリになるかと思ってたんですけど、これで遥々来て貰ってレベル違い過ぎて全く打ち合えなかったら顔面真っ青ですよ！
もう少し僕の戦績に見栄を張らせるとＳ・Ｄでベスト８各１回、市のランキング（シングルス）は現在何故かまだ６位・・・迎え撃つにはこれでもまだ足りない・・・
でも遠くから来た方を手ぶらで帰す訳には行かない・・・意地でも食い下がるしかない・・・！
かくして、初めてのテニスオフは漢のタイマン3セットマッチへと変貌を遂げたのであった。
が！
当日の開催１時間前に、突如荒れ狂う空！
コロコロと悪い方向に変わる天気予報！
海老名の空はまさかの雷雨！！
相手の方は既にon the高速道路！海老名へ爆走中！
これが近場の方なら早めに中止を判断してもまあ諦めがつくでしょう。
しかしこれでは、他県から遠征してきて0-6 0-6のダブルベーグルどころか、マジで手ぶらで帰す事になってしまう・・・！
考えうる限りで超最悪の展開・・・！
そう、これがテニスオフを主催するという事・・・！！！
だがもう後戻りはできない・・・
地元の僕も雨なんてなんのその、決戦の地(市内)へ出発。
どうなる事かと思われたが開催の15:00ジャストに降り止む雨。
天気予報だとずーっと降るって予報になってましたが運が良い。
雨が降らない内にと、参加者Tさんと早速試合を始める。
数々の市民戦で優勝した相手にどれだけ戦えるか・・・戦えるのか？
サービスゲームから始めて、程良い球を打てて1ゲーム目をキープ。
しかしリターンゲームでは伸びてくる相手のサービスに手を焼き、主導権を握れない。
コースも最初の内はバック狙いかな？なら慣れてきたところで読んで強打して・・・と思っていたら逆を突かれる。
甘いサーブが中々来ず、キープ合戦が続く。
いつもの事ながら格上相手にやってしまうのが、相手に打ち込まれると思って焦り、自分が無理して攻めてしまってミス。
特にリターンゲームで初手を取れないからラリーで相手に深く打たれ、上手く反撃できず。
そう、悪い癖。
思いきって攻めるべきところと、守るべきところ、それの見極めができてない。
ターニングポイントが、初のブレイクに成功して迎えた5-3でのサービスゲーム。
ここまで順調にキープしていたにも関わらず！落とす！
サーブ、ストローク共にミスが少ない相手のプレーに対し、ここぞという場面で押し切れない。
こういうチャンスの少ない神経すり減らす長いラリーの経験がまだまだ足りない。
その後試合は１ブレイクずつで６－６までもつれ込みタイブレーク、７－９で惜敗。
３セットやるつもりが時間はもう残っておらず。
一歩及ばず、しかし手ぶらで帰さずに済んでホッとする。
練習相手募集してみるか、なんて軽い気持ちでやってみたテニスオフは今年１、２番を争う接戦になりました。
そろそろ秋の市民大会が始まる頃。
今年の自分は戦績が全然ですが、久々にシングルスで良いプレーができ自信と勉強になりました。
