この度、KPIアンバサダーに応募し、公認を頂きました。
これからKPIのテニス製品に触れ、テニスの楽しみ方をもっともっと広げていければなと思います。
ウィニングショットの製品テスターやABCスポーツのウェア・ストリング契約に続いてまたまた出てきましたね、一般ユーザーができる契約が。
要項に｢KPIの商品が好きな方｣と書いてあるにも関わらず、一度も使った事が無いのに申し込んでしまったクレーですが、そんな僕でも受け入れてくださりとても嬉しいです。
今年は全く上手く行かず市民大会は数年振りに予選負け、とてもモチベーションを落とす1年でしたが、今回の募集は光明と言いますか、新しいモノに触れる事でもう少し頑張れるエネルギーになるかなと思います。
そういう事で今回送って頂いたのがタオルとソックス。
タオルはデカデカとKPIの文字。
今までほぼKPI製品に触れた事の無い自分ですが、楽天市場で検索してると価格の安いオリジナルガットを売っているな～という印象。
こちらのタオルとソックスもやはり値段は安価で、ソックスは299円、タオルはこのデカさで2500円。
そういうのって安かろう悪かろうだとまず第一印象で自分は思うのですが、どちらも日本製でタオルの方は今治タオル。
実は恥ずかしながら自分、ウェアはアホ程買い集める一方でタオルは大会の貰い物ばかり・・・
というかほぼ鎌倉テニストーナメントで貰うやつでローテ回してます（笑）
で、鎌トーで貰うタオルは毎年色こそ違うものの、こちらも今治タオル。
なので、ミーハーな僕は今治の名前を聞いただけで｢タオルは鎌トーのだけでいっか・・・｣なんて思っているのでした。
今治の何が優れてるの？って聞かれても答えられないです（笑）最近はこれしか使ってませんし。
汗っかきな僕としては吸汗性は重視したいところですが、今のところこの今治達でバッチグ～って訳です。
でも思い返せば昔使ってたウィンザーでラケットを買った時に付いてくるあのタオル、あれも今治製なので、結局昔から今治にお世話になっていたんですね。今治がスタンダード。
今治タオルって名前聞くだけで凄そうなイメージですが、なんやかんやで色んなメーカーで作ってるのかな？
ってちょろっと調べてみると、メーカーによってまちまちみたい？今治だったりじゃなかったり。
とまあ、他と比べてKPIの製品はとにかく安い・・・って今まで思っていましたけどそうではなく、品質をちゃんと重視してるって事ですね。
別の商品のページを見ていて面白いと思うのが、レザーグリップの紹介ページとか、開発スタッフの思いとコメントが載っている事。
まず最初に目に映る金額は安い、でもちゃんと考えて作ってるんだって主張がある。
ショップが展開するオリジナルのグリップやストリングって、基本的にコスパ重視の安価な物で、人気な有名メーカー製品からシェアを奪おう！って感じじゃないなと思っていたのですが、どうですかこのやる気。
オリジナル製品と言えばテニサポのウィニングショットがあり、こちらも創意工夫の連続、こだわり抜いた製品は有名選手達も愛用する逸品。
しかし個人的なイメージだとウィニングショットは価格がやや高めだなと思うところもあったり。
価格に相応しい、それ以上の高品質なのは間違いないのですが、ほら、今って海外輸入が頻繁じゃないですか。
それの値段と比べてしまうと価格の面でやはり不利になってしまうのでは・・・
と前々から自分は思ってるのですが、それは自分がセコセコと輸入ばっかしてるからですかね(爆)
ショップからのオリジナルブランドを田島選手が使い、アルマグロが使い、ガルシア・ロペスが使いってなってるんですからとんでもないブランドなのがウィニングショット。
そしてKPIもこだわりを持って製品を世に出しているようですが、安い値段ばかりなのは驚き。
この安さはあくまでコスパ重視なのか、それとも高品質と両立した、ユーザーにとって武器となる魅力的なモノなのか・・・
自分にはこのタオルとソックスが初めてのKPI製品なのでまだまだ未知の部分が多いのですが、そう言えば僕の周りにKPI製品へ信頼を寄せる子が一人いました。

安いガットなんて探せばいくらでもある、しかし彼がラケットを変えても色を変えても選ぶのはこれ。
後輩が愛用するＫＰＩ、自分もアンバサダーとしてこれから体感していく事になりますが、はたして完全に染まる日が来るのか・・・！？
