あまりもの事に急遽午前半休を取ってやってきたのは秋葉原。

目的はこちらです・・・トアルソンの展示会です。
この度はお誘いを頂き、思わず飛んでやってきた次第です。
メーカーがテニスショップや契約選手・コーチに向けて先行して新製品を発表するおなじみのアレです。
おなじみと言っても僕はテニス関係の仕事には就いていないんですけど・・・
しいて言うなら学生の頃にテニスショップのバイト、テニススクールのバイトをしていましたがそりゃ展示会とは無縁。
・・・えぇ、俺が入っちゃっていいんですか・・・マズくないですか・・・
ここまで来ながらもなお、信じられず心臓がバクバク状態。
うわっ！眩しッ！！！
ガチのやつじゃないですか！！
トアルソンの営業さんが勢揃い、谷社長までいらっしゃる！？
俺が入っちゃいけない感がビンビンだよ！商談できないよ！売り上げに貢献できないよ！？
そして次々と来場されるは、いかにもなテニスオーラを纏った方々、テニスで生きてる人達だぁ・・・
全身ローチェウェアで来てる方（ライズの香田社長）や、身に持っている小物もおおっ！？と息を飲む粋なテニスグッズを持っている人達ばかり。

あ、入場するから名簿に書かなきゃ・・・何て書けばいいんだ？
みんなショップやスクールの名義で来てるけど俺は何・・・？
えっ、名刺交換して頂けるのですか？
くっ、名乗れる名前が無い・・・
でも大慌てで名刺は作ってきました・・・かっ飛ばしテニス名義です・・・また使う日はくるのだろうか・・・。
そ、そりゃあ展示会に行ってみたいって昔は憧れた事もありましたけど、まあ無理じゃないですか、縁遠い話じゃないですか、普通に考えて。
これはヤバいぞ、展示会に招かれたからにはわーいっ！ってただ楽しむだけにはいかないぞ。
一般ユーザーよりも早く新製品を公開する展示会が何の為にあるかって言ったら、日本全国のテニスの専門家、テニスで生きている人達の為。
と言いながらも、昨今は海外の方からリークが早かったり、というか既に販売されていたり、メーカー自らネットで発信したり、どうも情報伝達の優先順位？が変わってきている気もしますが・・・
商品を生み出すのはメーカーであり、ユーザーに商品を手渡すのはメーカーではなくテニスショップであり、テニスコーチであり。
商品の説明をするのも、相談に乗るのも、そしてストリングを張るのも。
その領域にメーカーはあまり踏み込めません。（メーカー主催の試打会もありますが。）
ユーザーに最も近しく、商品を提供するのがショップとコーチであり、故に、ラケット、ストリング、グリップ、様々なアイテムがどういう物か把握してなければいけません。
世の中には無数のメーカーがあり、無数のアイテムがあり、無数のニーズがある。
僕みたいな半端者は自分の好みの薄いラケットやポリだけを使います。
でも世の中のラケットはデカラケ、長ラケ、軽いラケット、初心者に向けた低価格帯の購入し易いラケット、小学生に向けた各年齢に適したサイズのラケット・・・
自分が全く使わない、使った事のない道具の方が断然多いですし、それに対する知識だって揃えられているのだろうか？
それができるのが専門家。
（一般愛好家なら自分の範囲の道具の知識で十分ですが・・・）
新製品が何の為に作られ、どんな特性を持ち、どんな人に適しているのか、世に出る新製品を理解し、世に送り出すのが専門家。
なので僕みたいななんちゃって道具オタクが展示会に足を踏み入れると、多種多様の精鋭達に思わずうわあ！？圧倒されてしまう！って訳ですね。
新製品の情報にいち早く飛びつきたい欲はそりゃもうバリバリ。
しかし製品の魅力を知るには、製品の力を引き出すには、製品をよく知っている必要がある。
展示会へ足を運ぶショップの方のブログやツイッターを覗くと展示会は｢勉強｣だという言葉がよく見受けられる。
おお・・・プロフェッショナルでさえそうなのか。
ここに足を踏み入れたからには製品を学び、理解し、世に送り出さなければならない。
という事は僕も・・・って、ショップでもコーチでも無いので売る場所も相手もいないです・・・というか仕入れもまずできない・・・
自分にできるのは日記を書く事ぐらいですね・・・
ありったけの知識を総動員して、見てきたトアルソンの新鋭達の魅力をどうにかこのブログに記し切らなくては。
せっかくお呼び頂いたのにこれぐらいしか貢献できる事が無い・・・。
昨今ではSNSでいろんなメーカーが新作を出す度にハッシュタグを作り、話題を撒いて、それに皆乗っかっていく。
最近も伝統と革新の赤ラケとかBLADERの覚醒とか、例年通りに出るバージョンアップでありながらハッシュタグを付けて大々的に宣伝してますよね。
こういうのちょっと多過ぎない？と思いながらもこれが今の時代。
自分にそこまでの拡散力はありませんが・・・呼んで頂いたからには他メーカーに負けないぐらい拡散できたらいいなと思います。
長い歴史を持つ古参のトアルソンが他のメーカーに引けを取る理由はまで見当たらない。
にも関わらず、試打会行っても見当たらないし、有名量販店にはまるで見当たらないし、世界のテニスが集まる店にすら無かったし！
世界どころか日本のなのにハブかれてるのかよ！
ローチェのウェアのコーナーも消えてない？
ローチェで不満なのはですね、まずどこで売ってるのか見当たらないし、ネット通販でも売ってる店少ないし、買おうか迷っていたらすぐ品切れ・・・
おかげでウォームアップ用のウェアは長らく買いそびれてます・・・。
日本のメーカーと言えばトアルソン、ゴーセン、ヨネックス、どこも良さそうだと思うじゃないですか。
ヨネックスは言うまでもなくワールドワイドに活躍してますし、ゴーセンと言えばミクロスーパー、ソフトテニスにおいても圧倒的な支持。お店で見ない日は無いでしょう。

2015年の動画ですが僕はよく覚えています。
今までストリング主体のブランドだったトアルソンが、ローチェウェア、世界の選手の使用を意識したポリグランデシリーズ、そして前期から発売していたスプーンで総合ブランドとしてやっていくとのインタビュー。
そして時は流れ２０２０年、ローチェウェアはグランドスラムでダニエル太郎が着用し、エスマッハプロをYOUTUBERのマチュー先輩が使って、注目こそ何度か集めているはずですが・・・。
