新製品って訳ではないけど展示会で置いてあったストリングマシン。
240Z、トアルソンの最上級モデルのようですね。
こういうトップモデルって一度も使った事がない。
まあ僕なんかじゃ大した数使ってないのでストリングマシンの良し悪しなんてあまり分からないでしょうけど・・・
こちらの定価は８０万となります。
ホームストリンガーの僕が買う事は一生無いでしょう・・・
学生の頃にショップとスクールでアルバイトしていましたが、使ったマシンは２種類のみ。
よくネットで名機と言われている東洋造機製のモデル1400、それと写真に写ってるゴーセンのGM08EX。
GM08EXはショップでもスクールでもありました
見た目格好良いですよね、このマシン。
お店のマシンが四角いフォルムの無骨なモデル1400から明るいカラーのGM08EXに更新された時はワクワクしました。
定価は４０万ぐらいだったのかな？
そしてどこのお店もこのマシンやモデル１４００ばかり、だった気がする。
僕の頃の時点で型落ちだったモデル１４００だけど、今でも結構現役だったりするのかな？
一方で先程のトアルソンのマシンみたいに高価格帯のストリングマシンってあまり見かけない気がする。
そんなにテニスショップ巡りをしている訳ではありませんが・・・。
と思いながらゴーセンのサイトを見てみると白いGM08EXの後継機は黒い20EXというのが該当するのかな？
20EXは４８万円でゴーセンの現行での最高級機。
他のメーカーの最高機種は、テクニファイバーが８５万、ヨネックスは１００万超・・・
見た事も触った事も無いなぁ・・・。
ストリングマシンは高くないと駄目！なんて話だったら色んなお店やスクールが大変になっちゃいますが。
では中々お目にかかれない最高機種は何の為にあるのか・・・
費用対効果に見合わないのか、ミドル帯のマシンで十分なのか。
ちなみに現在僕は家で使っているのはスピンジャパン製のディアナＳＰ。バージョン２だったかな？
価格は２０万ぐらいだったはず。
上のストリングマシン達とは比較にならない値段ですね（笑）
僕的にはこのマシンでも十分満足しています。
お店で使ったマシンと比べて、ガットを引くスピードやプレストレッチの調整の幅が広く、テンションも0.1ポンド単位で調整できたりで融通がかなり利くなと思います。
・・・0.1ポンド単位での調整なんて一度もやった事ないですけど（笑）
不満な点を挙げるとラケットを支えるアームの位置があまり調整できないのと、後は張るスピードが遅いってところぐらい。
じゃあ値段が高いマシンは何が違うのか？
アームの位置の調整については金額というより機械ごとの仕様って感じですけど、何が高性能になるんだろう？
モデル１４００とGM08EXだと、僕はモデル１４００の方が使い易かったです。
記憶だとこちらもやはり融通が利く、って感じで好きだった記憶・・・。
GM08EXは見た目は良いけどちょっと使い難かったんだったかなぁ・・・それとも付き合いの長い機械故の愛着か。
あとストリングマシンで気になるのは剛性？
フレームをいかに歪ませないか、そういうのはストリンガーの腕も大きいですが、ストリングマシンのアームも強靭だったら楽だろうな～・・・じゃなくて、強く支えて頂ければよりフレームの変形も少なくなるでしょうし。
いや、固定だけが強くても張りが変だとフレームにストレスがかかってしまうか、ちゃんと張れってか。
バイトしてた時も今一人で張っている時も、フレームが歪んでないかどうか、張り方については疑問が尽きない。
うーん、でもやっぱ両方欲しいや（笑）
そういうところではディアナＳＰのアームは一見鉄、モデル１４００とかはフレームに直接触れる部分はプラスチックなのかな？比べるとどっちが変形に強いんだろ。
トアルソンのフラッグシップモデルのも・・・プラ製？
プラでも強度があるタイプなのかな、プラ系の方がメリットあるのかな。
アームの手の部分の位置の調整機能は、このマシンはビスを回してやるタイプの様子。
ちなみにディアナは４箇所の穴のどこかに差し込む形式だけど、このビス止め方式は張っている最中にズレたりしないのだろうか・・・しないか。
そしてアーム自体はディアナより太い。強そう。

多機能なんでしょうけどボタンが多くて使い方が分からん（笑）
使うチャンスが来ても僕はすぐには使いこなせなさそう・・・。
しかしこういうのは一流に使わせてこそなんですかね。
多岐に渡るニーズへ応えられる一流ストリンガーであれば多機能を使いこなせるんでしょうか。
僕は２０万円台のでもあまり機能活かしてないですしね（笑）
