気がつけば一ヶ月近くブログサボってるじゃないですか～
そんな感じで気がつけばいつ買ったかも覚えていないガットが出てきてしまったんですよ～
オームスのナチュラルとポリ、ポリジナモスと似たタイプだろうと期待してアルスター、なんとなく色と名前でソニックスピード、までは買ったの覚えてるんですけど、下の二つは・・・自分で選んだのか、オームスがオマケしてくれたのか、やべぇ、何も覚えてねえ・・・
せっかくオームスのレザー使ってるしガットもちょいと触れてみようかな・・・って、どんだけ放置してたのか。
今は大会無いし、そろそろ張るかぁ・・・。
という事で張るのは緑のスピン系ポリ。
流行のハイパーG？ノンノン、ソニックスピード1.24mm。
名前はいかにも速い球打てそうな感じですが、ストリングの形状はクローバー？
いかにもスピンかけます！って意志があるような・・・(笑)
オームスってブラックパールに多角形が2種類もあるし、クリスタルラインは多角形、ボルケーノヒートもブツブツ加工・・・やたらとスピン系ばかり。
確かに今はスピン全盛期、ポリ=スピンみたいなイメージありますが・・・でもいい加減多角形のポリって飽和気味じゃないですかねって僕は思います。
そしてオームスの代表格らしきブラックパールクラシックを打った時に思ったより飛ばず、まあ全体的に悪くは無いんだけど飛び抜けた部分も無いかなぁ・・・なんてイマイチなイメージもあって、いざソニックスピードを張りながらもあまり期待はしていませんでした。
どうせドイツ製によくあるような(?)芯のある硬さであまり飛ばないんだろうな・・・自力でソニックスピードなショットを打て！みたいな？
で、打ってみたら良い意味で予想を裏切られる。
エスマッハツアーに47ポンド。
カーンと弾いて硬いストリングなんだけど、ボールは真っ直ぐ走ってくれる。
いとも容易く飛んでくれる。
なんだこの使い易さ、ブラックパールとは大違いじゃないか？弾きのフィーリングは似てるんだけど。
多角形のポリって打球感がシャープになったり喰い付きが出たりするのが多いと思うけど、シャープという点ではこちらもシャープ。
ただ、喰い付きをあまり感じず、面に剛性がある。
ストリングの撓みはあまり無いが、かといってそこまで負担になるかと聞かれると飛びがあるのでそうでもないと思う。
ボールをぶっ叩くのに丁度良い硬さ。
弾き系だからってすぐ飛んでいくって程でもなく捉える感触はある。
クローバー型の形状のおかげだろうか。
多角形ポリみたく角が立っている訳ではないがその手触りは独特で、でもボールを引っ掛けてくれそうな感じはある。
メーカーのサイトの説明にあった「ボールを加速させる」って言うのはまさしくこの形状による引っ掛け？グリップ力？によるスピン、そして元々の打球も速ければまさにソニックスピード。
名前と寸分違わない性能と言えると思います。
速い球打つのが楽、かと言ってただ飛ばす楽なガットではなく硬めな打球感はコントロール性を損なわせない。
でもオームスとしてはクローバー形状によるスピン性能を一番推したいのかな？
自分としてはスピン性能よりもボールの速さの方が性能として目立っていると感じます。
エスマッハツアーに張ったけど、とにかくボールが飛ばないグリンタ98に張っていたらいつでも速い球打てそうで楽にプレーできそうだなぁ。
5段階評価で飛び4、スピン4、硬さ4、全部の項目で自分は好きだなと感じたハイバランスさ、そして攻撃力のあるポリでした。
