ゴリラって名前からして絶対最強だろって思って購入したストリングコングのポリ3種。
まだゴリルワンしか打ってなかったのでいい加減張れよって話でストリンギング。
ラケットはいい加減打てよって話なのでDAHCORの黒いやつ。
前にラケット購入した時に、1年以上かかったしどうなのって流石に思ったのか、DAHCOR曰く自慢の品質のラケットを一緒に送り込んでた。
DAHCORではK97Sと呼ばれているラケットだろうね。
16×19、21mm厚のボックスフレーム、でも重さ、バランス、RA値は不明…
どう使えばいいんだって悩んでたラケット。
まー、とりま42ポンド。
今使ってるラケットでは18×20だから36まで落としてるけど、エスマッハプロとかグリンタ98使ってた時にテンションを合わせる。
ちなみにこの前ゴリル1の時はグリンタに42ポンド、だったはず。
ラケットを統一せずにガット試すってどういう魂胆なのかと聞かれると…うーん、まあ、K97Sはオードソックスなスペックだし…いいかなって？
で、そんなふにゃふにゃなノリで張ってたら事件は起きた。

このラケット張るの初めてだったしなんか全身黒でグロメットも黒だから溶け込んでるようにも見えそうじゃないですかね、それに一本足り無くてもあんま違和感無くないですかねこのストリングの配置
ほらほらほらほらほら！遠目で見ても他のラケットと比べてもボトムのラストってこのぐらいガットの通ってない空間が空いているのは大体のラケットにおいて自然かなっていうか、
例えばですね、スチーム99なんかだったら逆にラケットのフェイス全体に満遍なくストリングが通ってるけど、その分ストリングの間隔は広くなるじゃないですか、そうする事でボールに対する喰い付きは他と比べて際立つし、実際スチームは廃盤後もフェレールといったトッププロが信頼を置くほどの名器だった訳で、えー、その、その逆も然りと言いますか、同じストリングパターンでもセンターフォーカスしてれば逆にボールをしっかり捉える形になって、ちょうどそう！最近話題のピュアアエロの新型だってパターン狭める事を強くアピールしてる訳でえっと、えー、あーごめんなさい。

はい、久しっっっぶりの凡ミスやらかしてテンションだだ下がりでやってきましたよヒッティング。
ストリングコングの代表的なポリっぽい立ち位置のゴリル1は反発力重視かなと思えば予想よりも硬めで、どちらかと言えばバランス寄りの性能だった事を思うと、それに続くバナナバイトもゴリル1と同じく硬めなのかなと予想。
オランゴ・ロウが多角形かつソフトって立ち位置なのを思うと、バナナバイトに弾力的な飛びはあまり期待できなさそう。
バナナバイトの売りはパワーよりもスピン性能のようですし。
形状は五角形ですがあまり鋭利ではない。
スピン系のポリってとにもかくにも多角形って感じですが、ストリングコングのは敢えて丸みを帯びさせた多角形。
バナナラウンドエッジという形状で、これによりスナップバックやテンション維持を重視したとの事。
そしてもう一つ、テクノロジーとして施されてるのがスーパースリッピーピール。
これもまた添加剤による表面コーティングで、ますますスナップバックしやすくさせたという工夫。
多角形かつ滑る、スピンをゴリゴリに重視したポリがバナナバイト。
なのでゴリラと言うよりBANANAな曲がり方のスピン重視？って感じで、さあ打ってみると！？
・・・思ったより硬く、ボールが飛ばない？
硬めのフィーリングだろうなとは想像してましたが、精々ゴリルワンの多角形版だろみたいなイメージをしていたら、それより更に硬いフィーリング？
多角形のポリって、最近よく聞くのがラウンド形状よりも硬くて重いという話。（アドブロさん）
でも尖がってる分喰い付くフィーリングになるっていうのが自分の印象だったのですが、このバナナバイト、喰い付きよりも硬さが勝る？？？
丸みを帯びてる分で打球感がラウンドに近付いているのか？
だとしてもまだ打球感は喰い付き寄りだと思うけど。
でもこんな喰い付き感が薄めの多角形は初めてかも？
似たようなタイプだと台湾製かつ五角形のツアーバイトだって、硬い部類に入るけどもっと喰い付きがあったはずだが。
そもそもラケットが、K97Sが薄いボックスフレームなのにあまり撓りも感じられなくてますます打球感が硬い。

そう、１６×１８にもなればストリングの動きが増えてボールを飛ばしやすくなるはずが、バナナバイト、パワーアシストもそこまで感じられない。
ゴリルワンもそこまでアシストしてくれるポリって感じじゃなかったけど、それでも全体的に優等生感はあった。
バナナバイトは硬さと微妙な飛びでそこまで使い易いって訳じゃないぞ。
なんかハードさがある・・・
これをピュアドラとかに張ったらしっかり叩けて、かつスピン性能も活かせそうなところだけど。
そして硬いながらも嫌なフィーリングやビビり感があるかと言われるとそうじゃない。
そこまで飛ばないって訳じゃないんだけど、アシストはもうひとつと言ったところ。
肝心のスピン性能は・・・ストリングの滑りは文句なしですが、自分には硬くてストリングを動かし難い・・・
もっと緩く張るべきなのか？勝手にスピンがかかるって感じを出せなかったが、たぶんそれは自分の腕が悪いんだろうなと・・・最近ちょっと身体のキレが鈍くて・・・
他のラケットに張ったらまた感想は大きく変わるんだろうけどなぁ・・・K97Sも打ちたかったんで・・・初めてのラケットと初めてのポリでやっちゃいました、てへへ。

って感じですかねぇ、このポリの飛びは、というか全体的に本来そんな悪くない性能だと思うんですよ。
