今年の秋は楽天オープン、全日本を見に行ったのですがとうとう慶応チャレンジャーにまで足を運んでしまいました。
プロの試合を生で見るとやはりパワフルで刺激を受けるのですが、いくら見たってそれだけで強くなれる訳無いのに何やってんでしょうね。
とまあ、テニスが不調になると刺激欲しさにプロの試合を見たくなる事があり、そして丁度まだダニエル太郎選手を生で見ていなかったので本日準決勝を見てきました。
添田対エブデン、ダニエル対伊藤、ベスト４全員が四大大会出場を果たしているレベルの試合を県内で見れるなんて凄い話ですよね。
有明コロシアムも東京体育館もすぐそこだしね。
今年から慶応チャレンジャーは入場料がかかるようになったけれど、日本を代表する選手をたったの１５００円で見る事ができ、時間に余裕があれば２０００円で連日見放題なら安過ぎると思います。
日本リーグなんて決勝リーグでも無料だったでしょ。今更だけど凄いよね。
思い返せば添田選手は昔から何度も見ていて今年ももう楽天オープン(練習)と全日本(ダブルス)で見慣れた感じがある選手(失礼)
昔よりストロークのスピードが落ちたかなと思ったのですがエブデン選手の力あるボールにアジャストし、しっかりフォアを左右に展開してエースを取っていく姿はまさしく自分のよく知る添田選手でした。
エブデン選手は外人らしくパワーはありましたが急にドロップやスライスを使ったりしているのが気になりました。
日本人基準でパワーが高いからかな。
あとプレー中にやたらガットを気にしているような仕草を見せ、急にロブばっか打ち出したりスライスに頼ってミス頻発したり、張替えを頼む場面もありました。
ガットが硬くて球乗りが悪かったのかな。分からないけど。
ダニエル選手と伊藤選手の試合も序盤は良い緊張感のラリーが続く好ゲームでしたが、途中から伊藤選手が一気に崩れてしまったのが残念でした。
初めての生ダニエルは、厚く当たってスピンボールがすごく落ちる。
跳ねるだけでなく厚く当たってしっかりボールに力が入っている感じ。
今まであまりよく見た事が無くひょろ長いという印象(かなり失礼)でしたが、パワーのあるスピンを安定して打ち続けられるベースライナーという印象を持ちました。
これがスペインテニスというものでしょうか。
その後やはり触発されて急遽テニスをしたクレーですが、スピンを意識して打つとこすり上げただけの棒球ばっかりが量産さていく。
厚く当てて、尚且つ跳ねさせる。
未だに自滅ばかりの自分は是非見習うべき事だと思うのですが中々上手くいかないものです。
明日は今月初のシングルスの草大会に行ってきます。
先月も出て、通算２回で２回とも予選で惨敗している大会です。
両方ともぽんぽんと点を取られてあっさり負けて嫌な思い出が強いのですが、三度目の正直という言葉もありますし、今度こそつまらないテニスからは脱却できるよう努力はします。
