ラケットスタジオさんを訪ねるべく千葉県まで来たので、他にも寄って観光して帰る事にしました。
どこへ行こうか行きの電車の中で考え、千葉県の内陸部を通る久留里線に乗ることに。
木更津駅まで行きいざ乗ろうとしたら電車は一両のみ。
一両単体の電車を見るのはなんだか不思議な気分です。
本当は久留里線終点の上総亀山駅に行こうと思っていたのですが、行きの遅れもあって時間が合わず久留里駅止まりの電車にしか乗れませんでした。
ですので路線の名前になっている久留里駅近辺を散策。
電車内に掲示されていた久留里線マップ曰く、久留里駅には久留里城があるとの事でしたのでお城を観光しに行くことにしました。
ちなみに駅を出た瞬間から遠くにお城らしきものが見えて駅前かよ！とも思いましたが、そんな事はなくアーケードの飾りでした。
(まあそれ言ったら福山城も駅前ですね。)
久留里の町は平成の名水に選ばれているようで住宅街でもどこでも井戸が設置されていました。
そう言えば電車の時間に追われて飲まなかったな・・・。
電車は一時間に一本、迅速に行動しないと帰れなくなっちゃいます。
駅周辺から少し歩いて久留里城の看板が見えてきた・・・と思ったら、普通の上り坂と林道の二手に道が分かれていました。
「歩道として整備されてません 途中悪路となっております」と注意書きがありましたが、チャレンジ精神が昂ぶり旧道に挑むことに。
しかし、やはり倒れた竹は放置され地面はヌメヌメ、滑ってしまいそうな勾配の中、何故自分はラケットバッグ持って登っているのだろうという疑問に途中で駆られながら進んでいきました。

苦戦しながら進む山中でこんな看板があったんですが、ここ通学路なんですか。
人の手によるものが神社か小学校への看板しか無い道を進んでいくと、ようやく久留里城への案内図が見えてきました。
久留里城へ近付いていくにつれどんどん標高が上がり、景色も開けて林道から久留里の町並みを見渡せるようになってくる。
ラケバ担いで久留里城天守閣に到着。

この時点で15時半、帰りの電車の出発時間まで残り約１０分、次の電車は１時間後。
