今週の土日は全日本選手権。
母校の後輩達が見に行くそうで是非とも一流のテニスを見て刺激を受けてほしいと思います。
見れば必ず強くなれる！・・・とは言えないけど、結局強い人でプロの試合見てない人なんていないでしょうし。
そして何よりも、自分も高校生の時に初めて有明コロシアムに行って感じたあの雰囲気を思うと、せっかくの機会を見なくていいなんてとても後輩達には言えない。
自分が高校生だった時は杉田選手、添田選手、伊藤選手ら日本のトップ層が出てくれる上に、鈴木選手、岩淵選手、本村選手もいるというとんでもなく豪華で、時代の節目とも言える大会だったんだなと今になって思います。
昔よりもプロの５セットの試合を見るようになりましたが、2009年の杉田選手と添田選手の決勝、あの２セットがどれだけ長く感じ、ずっと心を奪われていたことか。
今回の大会は特に凄いものです、錦織選手は勿論ですが杉田、添田、伊藤、西岡、ダニエルらが揃って出ないのですから。
世界ランクの付かない全日本に対してはそうあるべきとは思う反面、寂しい気持ちもありますね、楽天で会えることに感謝です。
さて、後輩達が準決勝と決勝のどちらを見に行くかは分かりませんが、是非とも皆気に入ってくれると思うのは関口選手。
綾瀬のお隣の海老名市出身、他のベスト４の選手と比べて親近感沸くこと間違いなし 
ベスト４の他の選手はやたら背が高い印象ですが、それらに対して小柄な選手がどう立ち向かっていくかという点で大変参考になると思います。
背が低いから防御的って訳ではなく、ストロークの振り抜き具合が爽快で絵になるなって印象です。
決勝が18歳の期待の新鋭綿貫陽介選手VS関口選手となるとますます引き込まれそうですが、内山選手相手にはたして決勝に上がれるかどうか。
去年見たのはＡＴＰサンデーでしたが内山選手のボールはやはりデ杯代表、世界レベルにも負けてないように見えました。
今大会第三シードになった関口選手でも抑え込むのは厳しいか。
関口選手のプレーが是非とも後輩達の目に映ってくれれば、よりテニスの視野が広がると思います。
そして自分は・・・内山選手も同い年だし準決勝のカードは惹かれるけど、今年はもう結構有明に行ったので全日本は見に行かず。
来週の某町田の大会に向けて出来る限り準備だ！
