大学時代にラケット２本折っちゃいましたが、まだ捨てずに取っておいてます。
凄そうな接着剤探して無理矢理張った事もありましたが即フレームが歪んで水の泡となりました。
大切なラケットってダメになっても捨てられませんし、直そうとするのもロマンだから仕方ないでしょ。
そんな事も昔はありましたが、今だと折れた箇所を直してくれるお店があるそうじゃないですか。
先輩も折れたＳラケＨ２２を修理に出して使ってました。
そりゃ意地でも直しますよね。
そして自分もストリンギング。
さてこれ、自分は何気なく張っていたのですが・・・
ラケット修理工房さんによると、他の店では修理したラケットのストリンギングを拒否される事が多いらしいとの事。
一瞬「え？何で？」と思うも、よくよく考えると、他の店からしてみればメーカー保証は無い、折れたら責任持てない、どういうものか分からない。
そもそもラケット修理工房さんを知らない、ラケットを直せる人がいる事を知らない可能性もある。
知らない状態で「折れたラケット修理しました！」なんて言われたら、自分がバイトしてた頃だったら・・・ラケット直せるそのお店をめっちゃ教えて欲しくなっちゃいますよね。
びっくりですもん。折れたラケット直すのはロマンですもん。
はたして知らないお店で修理したラケットの張替えの許可がもらえるかどうかは不明ですが・・・
そして、バドミントンでは修理したラケットはちゃんとした大会で使用禁止らしい。
テニスにはそこまでのルールは無い、はず・・・けど、こういうルール作られるのかな？
バドミントンの方が床との接触が多く、高いテンションでの使用者も多くて折れたラケットをよく見た記憶があります。

こういったラケットのカーボンやウレタンの形成をできるお店って間違いなく少数派だと思うのでまだまだ広まってないかもですが、これが一般的なレベルまで認知されたらはたしてどういう扱いになるのか。
でもこういう方法でのラケットへの手の加え方って夢がありますよねぇ。
なんて言ったって折れたラケットの復活ですもんねぇ。
きっとまだまだ出来る事は増えるんでしょうね。
