年末からモノフィラメントのハイブリッドを試そう！って事で横にTNT2の125、130を試し、そして今日はアスタリスタの1.35mmに至った。
１年前はハイブリッド専用糸のトアルソンゴールド・リアクトに一時期ドハマりしたんだけど、なんかある日急に反発力を感じれなくなってからはいつものポリポリへ。
リアクトは思った以上に硬めの打球感でまるでポリのよう。
というかハイブリッドって基本ポリとナチュラル、もしくはその代用としてマルチってのが主流の風潮じゃないですか。
だから久々に使ったモノフィラメントの硬質な打球感にびっくらこいて、ポリに近い打球感でボールの飛び強化できるなら・・・
って事でそれから１年、リアクトも良いけど個人的にはもう少し撓みがあって、跳ね返してくれるのが好み。
昨年はトアルソンゴールド・オリジナルもトライしたんだけど、撓みが大きくてナイロンでのいつものパワーロス感。
そこで今回はTNT2、反発力のあるタイプでまずは1.25mmを試したら、うーん駄目。
細いと喰い付き過ぎてパワーロスするだろうけど18×20のラケットだから太いと使い辛いだろう・・・って思ってたらやっぱり喰い付き過ぎてパワーロスしたので却下。
じゃあしょうがない、1.30mmにするか、太くすれば喰い付きが抑えられるだろって思って再度張るも、これでもまだ撓みが出る。
1.25mmよりは使えるけど、ハードヒット時に撓み過ぎてイマイチ。
うーん、TNT照射によって反発力とソフト感が出るって話だから、喰い付き、撓みが出るのはそりゃそうかって感じなのか。
昔TNT2スピン127を張った時は硬い打球感からバイーンとボールを弾き出して良いなって思ったんだけど。
それと３８ポンドで張ったのもやはり良くなかったか。
今のラケットにポリポリだとそれぐらいじゃないと飛ばし辛いしポリの撓みも出ないから・・・ってのがあるんだけど、じゃあナイロンならテンション上げればいいだろってか。
ちょっとチキり気味なテンション加減だったのもイマイチな評価になった一因か。
まーこんなに苦戦するならいつも通りのポリポリでええやんってなるんだけど、ちょっとこの前ね一緒に練習させて頂いた市のチャンプから「ナイロンにしてみたら？」って言われて、
えーナイロンはパワーロスするしなぁ・・・と思いながらも信頼してる人からのお言葉とあらばって事でトライしようってなって色々張る中、やっぱりナイロンだったらリアクトかなぁ・・・ってなってたら、思いついたのがアスタリスタ135。
太えな1.35mm・・・。
というか1.35mmのモノフィラメントが未だに売られている事にびっくりしたわ。
だって1.35mmだよ？
今時これ需要あるのか？
まあストリングは昔1.35mmぐらいの太さが主流だったという噂は聞いた事あるけどさあ？
ポリが主流になる前だって耐久性目当てで選ぶぐらいで、令和の現代においてはこんなぶっといの張るぐらいだったら流石にポリ選べってなるのでは・・・？
今時1.35mmなんて売ってるのもトアルソンの他にはゴーセンでミクロスーパーとミクロⅡ、バボラが昔で言うパワジー、テクニファイバーはマルチだけど概ねのシリーズで1.35mmを用意。
ここら辺は流石、1.35mmまで揃えるのは歴史あるストリングメーカーの秩序ってところでしょうか・・・そーゆうレベルの希少種じゃん1.35mm。
それにしてもトアルソンはアスタリスタで1.35mmですか、こういうのってトアルソンゴールドみたいな基本形のストリングで用意しそうなものだけど、いや、トアルソンゴールドは1.25mmも無いのか。
アスタリスタってストリングの特徴はまず異弾性複合コアにあるんだろうけど、たぶん業界的には色が沢山あるって扱いだろうと思う。
カラバリが用意されてるのは1.25mmと1.30mmだけど、しかしゲージ違いでも1.20mmと1.35mmといった広いラインナップが用意されてるのだ、白色しか無いけど。
やはり単なるカラフルなモノフィラメントってだけの扱いは勿体無いのがアスタリスタ・・・そんな中、よくもまあ今日まで1.20mmと1.35mmを残してこれたなぁと。
今日に至るまで数々のストリングが廃盤となってきた中・・・
しかもトアルソンの営業兼企画開発のDr.ストリング氏曰く、アスタリスタの1.35mmは側糸が特注品で通常のアスタリスタとは違うとの情報が。
確かにパッケージには特注した側糸使ってるって書いてあるけど・・・どうやら側糸の材質がガチで違うらしい。（耐摩耗糸）
えっ、特注って確かに書いてあるけどさぁ、単に側糸太くしただけなんじゃないの？って思ってたんだけど、というか、材質変えるってそれもう別物では？
アスタリスタ・タフだよもう。
リアクトファイバー巻き付けたリアクトとか、冬限定に柔らかくしたデビルスピン127とか、色々出してきた中で、まさか堂々と名称変えずに材質変えるなんて選択肢が・・・？
まさかの禁じ手を見せるトアルソン、こーゆーコダワリが隠れてるからさぁ、びっくりしちゃうよね我々。
前に張ったアスタリスタ1.25mmの印象としては、ナヨナヨしたナイロン、縦アスタポリと組み合わせても縦のポリの硬さに圧されてちょっと心もとない打球感。
というか、TNT2やトアルソンゴールド・オリジナルにも共通して言える事なんだけどトアルソンのモノフィラメントってよく言えばしなやか、悪く言うと頼りない手触りなんですよね。
でもトアルソンに限った話でもなく、バボラのN.Vy（現在のSYNガット？）もそんな感じでナヨナヨしてて。
このナヨナヨしてるって感じが、どうも自分の中ではミクロスーパーとの比較になってんスよね。
ミクロスーパーなんて「迷ったらこれ」なんていう程の基本のガットとして長らく君臨してるけど、やっぱりそれだけの事はあって、他のモノフィラメントに比べると僅かに硬めで、スコーンと飛んでく弾きがあるんだよね。
それに飼い慣らされた感覚で他のモノフィラメントを使うと、ちょっと物足りないというか、違和感を持ってしまうんですね。
トアルソンゴールドも昔からのモノフィラメントのはずですが…
その弱々しいイメージがあるから、アスタリスタ135もどうだろう？いくら太くしてもって思ってたけど（ならなんで買った）
材質変えた特注ナイロンと言われると、ちょっとこれはもしや、ポリにもそうそう負けない強靭なモノフィラメントなんじゃないか？と期待が出てくる。
1.35mmもの太いモノフィラメントとなると、自分の中でのイメージはストロングダイアとミクロ。
昔ゴーセンが出していた1.38mmのモノフィラメント、ポリの流行りの風潮に抵抗するかのようにCXシリーズと共に現れた怪作。
というかゴーセンは雑誌とかでも日本人はポリよりナイロン！みたいな事言ってたような。
このストロングダイヤなんだけど、ただ太いだけじゃなくて表面のコーティングもとても硬質で、打球感にとても剛性があるし、ポリより全然飛ぶ反発力も持つ。
太いからしっかりボールをグリップするし、当時の自分も脱ポリした方が良いのかと迷わされたんですよね。
そんな名作も今となっては廃盤、当時のゴーセンのポリもエッグパワー、ルミナスピンみたいなイージー系のポリから、競技者層向けのGツアーシリーズへ様変わり。
（エッグパワーは当時からインハイでの使用率も高いとか聞いたけと）
一般ユーザーはポリを使って良いのかどうかなんて論争はストロングダイヤという名ナイロンが廃盤となった事で完全に決着がついたんだなぁと僕は思ってましたよ。
あんな凄いナイロンが市場からは不必要とされてしまうなんてねぇ。
耐久性のある糸を巻き付けたCXシリーズはモノ、AKプロ、マルチの三種が出て、モノが廃盤。
AKプロCXは内田海智プロもハイブリッドで使ってたし流石の性能、でも耐久性の面ではナイロンはナイロンでしかないかなぁとは思うけど。
もう一つ、ミクロはソフトテニスのハイシープ・ミクロ。
1.35mmで値段も安いストリングなんだけど、当時のバイト先でソフトテニスで全国に出た先輩が信頼してたのがこのガットだったんですよね。
当時人気だったミクロパワーやサイバーナチュラルシャープではなく、太くて安いミクロ。
でも自分もそうなんだろうなぁって張ってて思いましたね、ミクロは太くて強靭で安心感があった。
ミクロパワーとかはベタつくコーティングをしてあって、色も沢山あってまあそりゃ皆張るなって感じだったけど、コーティングがとにかく脆い！
張ってる最中からしてそうだし、使っててもすぐ剥がれてくるじゃないですか、どうなのそういうコーティングって。
しかも人によってはコーティング剥がれた後が打ちやすいって噂もあって、ストリングとしてどうなのそれは、だったらコーティングの無い細いモノフィラメントを最初から張っておけば…みたいな？
ソフトテニスのボールへのグリップ力上げる為のベタベタしたコーティング、それが強力って事なんでしょうけど。
それら人気のガットと比べるとどうしてもミクロの肩を持ちたくなってしまうのであった。
太すぎるガットってのは本来飛ばない、スナップバックし難い、耐久性だけのキワモノみたいな扱いなんですけど。
殆どのラインナップで1.35mmの用意は無く、あるとしたら老舗のストリングか、それかナチュラルガットか。
ポリの1.35mmも思えば割と聞くかな？
プロハリとかそうだよね、ナダルも1.35mmって言うし。
Sラケ出始めの時はそれ専用のとして1.40mmも出たよね、すっかり見かけなくなったけど。
まあともかく進んで張ろうとは思わない1.35mm、それもモノフィラメント、特注で太くなったとはいえ、ナイロンとポリには超えられない壁がある…ナチュラルもそうだけどね。

TNT2の時はもう数球でイマイチだな…って感じだったけど、アスタリスタは、おおっ。
ナイロンではあるが、まあ1.35ともなれば1.25、1.30の時よりかは安心感ある打球感。
柔らかさはあるがすぐに喰い付きパワーロスするって事ではなく、抑えてくれている。
縦のデビルスピンの硬さに負けていると喰い付き後反発しなかったりするが、そこそこのタフ具合。
問題のハードヒット時、アスタリスタの特徴って異弾性複合コア、強打した時に反応して撓み、跳ね返すってやつなんですよね。
個人的な最近の課題はなんてことのないイージーボールの処理、浅いボールの処理、ここら辺でガットにはしっかりボールを捉えて貰わないと、勝手に弾いてあらぬ方向へ飛ばしてしまう…典型的な雑魚の特徴です。
そして強打の時に食い付きすぎて反発せず、パワーロス…逆なんスよね、スロースイングの時に喰い付いて下手くそな俺を助けて欲しいんスね。
TNT2の時はまさにそんな感じだった、でもアスタリスタの特徴もまさにそんな感じじゃん、強打の時しか喰い付いてくれないじゃん。
だったらポリポリで良いんスよ、軽いタッチでも暴発しないし。
さあそれでアスタリスタ135はというと…ハードヒット、やっぱりグニャッとボールに喰い付く。
この喰い付きは危険だぜ、その辺のモノやマルチだとパワーロスするか、飛ぶマルチだと経糸と連動せず一方的に吹っ飛ぶか。
アスタリスタは〜？綺麗に発射される？綺麗な球筋・・・？

でもアスタリスタはそうじゃなくて良い感じの軌道なんですよ。
縦のデビルスピン、こちらも異弾性複合コアを搭載してるポリでして、やはり強打の時に喰い付き、跳ね返すストリング。
ただのスピンポリじゃあないんです、リアクション＆コントロールでレンコンなのが根幹なのですから。
とはいえポリの中でも割と硬めのデビルスピン、同じ異弾性複合コアだからってここまでナイロンと上手くいくのか。
まあまだ１回しか使ってないんだけど、かなり良い具合。
強打の時に喰い付くも跳ね返す、でも剛性的にはもう少しあったら・・・リアクトファイバー巻いてくれたら・・・なんてちょっとだけ思う部分もあるけど、許容範囲内かな。
そして盲点だった点があるんですが、苦手の浅いボール、これの処理が予想外にやり易い。
軽いスイングでストリングが撓まずボールを弾いてしまうかと思ったが、スイング通りに素直にボールが飛んでくれる。
自分がナイロンに求める部分というのはボールの飛びと、ポリとそん色ない打ち応えってぐらいでしたが・・・
思ってもいなかったのですが、そういやストリングが太くなればボールとの接触部が増えてコントロール性が上がるじゃないの。
それも1.35mmともなればねぇ。
これがポリ単張りで太いのを張るってなると、大幅に落ちるのが反発力。
自分はポリはもうずーーーーーーーっと1.25mmしか使ってない。
1.30mmはねぇ・・・高３の時のエッグパワーが1回、社会人になってからはプロフォーカスが1回って記憶してる。
記憶してるレベルで1.30mmを避けているのだ。
エッグパワーは確か色で先に太い方を選んだんだな、あれはまあ、別によく飛んだんだけど、プロフォーカスは1.25mmを先に使っていたから、反発力の差が顕著で出ちゃって使えないって即諦めた。
自分は1.25mmじゃないとボール飛ばせない、けどストリング選びにはコントロール性も求めてて・・・
デビルスピンもコントロール性は良いんだけどね。

そして一番良いなと感じるのがサーブ、ボールのスピードが出てくれる。
自分のサーブはフォームからしてバラバラで水物過ぎるので次のテニスで評価がまた変わってそうだけど、楽できるね～。
ストロークは硬いポリじゃないとパワーを出せないけど、サーブで硬いポリだと、反発力が無いやつだと技術の低い自分には・・・ちょっとねぇ。
1.35mmとはいえナイロン、少ない力でボールを飛ばすのであればポリより上。
