今日は静原、大原にレンタサイクルで行ったのですがやっぱり雪。
もはや京都＝雪のイメージが確固たるものになりますよ、はい。
この天気の中で凍えながら中心街へ戻り、今日は後は夕飯作って銭湯行こうなんて考えていたのですが、返却先までへの途中で何となく目に付いたのでフラリとアーケード街をたまたま通ってみようと思いました。
特段京都限定みたいなものでも無いと思いますが、地元にアーケード街というものがなかったので自分にとっては珍しい光景。
色んな店があるなと見物していると目の前に「ガット張替」の文字。
京都に来る前にある程度テニスショップは調べていたのですが、この商店街にあるというのは知らなかったので、へ～と思いながらチラっと覗く。

入り口の片側には確かにテニスショップらしくラケットが飾ってありますが、もう片方は・・・んん？
なんだか和風のバッグが並んでいますが・・・テニスショップ？
和風のバッグだけに目が行くと、一目見た時はテニスショップかと思ったのに全く違う雰囲気に。
しかも左側には何やらこれまた和風なラケットケースがあるではないですか。
思わず買ってしまいました。和風ラケットケース。
生地がしっかりしていて丈夫、ケース下部はフェイスに合わせた形状。
気まぐれで寄ったアーケード街で予備知識も無いまま発見したお店にこんなお洒落なラケットケースですよ、もう一目惚れでした。

ラケットケースは勿論オリジナル。
今まで見た中でこのテニスショップは自分にとって衝撃的でした。
自分が全然知らない世界がそこにありました。
どれもこれも初めて見る物ばかり。
こんなお店を何故検索で見つける事ができなかったのか。
今日ここに寄り道し行こうと思わなければ、自分はここを知る事も無かったかもしれない。
それはあまりにも勿体無い事だと感じました。
