もう年の瀬じゃないですか・・・って事で買ったきりで全然使ってなかったガットを使いますよっと。
縦にデビルスピン1.25mm、そして横には神糸ナインがひとつ、躍動の糸ことライブワイヤー1.25mm。
通ぶっておいてトアルソンの名ストリングなのにまだ使った事なかったのかよ。
耐久性を持たせたXPは昔1.30mmでやはり横糸に使ったんだけど、その時はボールが飛び過ぎて自滅。
扱いとしては耐久性はXP、反発力は無印のライブワイヤーって事で、XPであれだけ飛ぶなら無印はどうなるんだよ！？と。
そんな心配があったから1.25mm、ホールド感の方を強くさせれば暴発は減るかなと思って。
一般的には細い方が反発力は出るんですけど、ハイブリッドでは高反発のマルチは太い方がボヨンと飛んでく気がするな。
なんというか、細いと縦のポリに抑え付けられて飛ばし切れないのかな。
で、まあ、今年最後になると思われるテニスで使ってきましたが。
予想通り喰い付きの方が勝るのか、恐れた程の飛びでは無く。
でもデビルスピンが食い込んで早速ノッチが出来て、となると打球時にデビルスピンがライブワイヤーのノッチに囚われてスピン性がイマイチ・・・
表面的にはよくあるポリウレタン系のマルチみたいに表面がベタついてるって訳ではないんですけど、食い込みがちょっとキツい。
デビルスピンと組ませたらそりゃそうなるか。
これがナチュラルだと削れるのがもうちょい遅くてスナップバックが長持ちする印象なんですが。
・・・じゃあ1.25mm選ぶなって話だ(笑)
流石に耐久性は分が悪い。
まあXPはピークファイバーって硬い素材を巻き付けて耐久性上げてるから、その差が出るのはしょうがない。
でもその差の通りライブワイヤーはマイルド。
マルチとナチュラルと比べてよく感じるのがマルチがシャープ過ぎるって感覚なのですが、ライブワイヤーではそこまでそれは感じなかった。
1.25mmでここまでマイルドなら、同じ1.30mmでXPと比較しても確実にマイルドな差が出ることでしょう。
あと、一番のウリのボールの飛びは・・・やはり真っ直ぐ飛んでオーバーを何発か出しちゃった（笑）
ある程度は縦糸で抑えられたりしていましたが、真芯で捉えるとライブワイヤー本来の姿か、ボールの伸びが出る。
ただ、デビルスピンの尖った部分に邪魔されなければもっと凄いかも。
爆発的な飛びを邪魔する目的でデビルスピンと組ませたんですけどね。
