数年前から新設された日本国内の大会でありながら世界ランキング、日本ランキングも付かない大会、SBCドリームテニスツアー。
にも関わらず賞金は多いし有名プロも参戦する大会、一度は見に行こうかと思って行ったらコレ。
事前情報無かったので面食らいました、今回のSBCのファーストラウンド、トアルソンがオフィシャルストリンガーとしてサポートしていました。

いや〜有明でのトアルソンは久しぶりな感じがしますね。
ここ数年の楽天オープンではブースを出していませんでしたし、、、いや、他のイベントで来てるか。
地元の兵庫のチャレンジャーではブースを出して限定ウェアも出してたってのをインスタやツイッターで指を咥えて眺めていましたが…
うん、年に一度の楽天で中々会えず寂しいところでしたが、最近のトアルソンの活躍は意外と目立たない？ながらもじっくりしっかり、着実に？みたいな感じか。
関西の方の大学とか高校のテニス部のサポートに力入れているのかな。
T/Crewシャツとか、TEAM Toalsonシャツとか、契約選手用っぽい特別感あるシャツも見受けられたり。
あと公式サイトでトアルソンのゲームウェアも出ましたね最近。
新製品の動きはナイロン推しで一般ユーザーを重視しつつも、競技志向向けの活動も良い感じ、ですよね。
SBCは今日がファーストラウンドの予選で明日が本戦トーナメント、
賞金総額が更に上がるファイナルラウンドが年末。
世界ランキングに入らない大会にも関わらず昨年のファイナルラウンドは西岡、清水、中川といった海外が主戦場の選手が何人も出てきたのを見るに、日本人同士の試合は全日本や日本リーグでも沢山あるでしょ…と言いつつも、レアな対戦も見れそうだなぁと思います。
ただ、個人的に気になってるのは…4ゲームで決まるショートセット…
これ、優勝すると1000万のファイナルラウンドでもショートセットらしいですね、えぐい。
なんか理由あるんでしたっけ？
試合数多いから？観客が見やすいように？
個人的には〜普通のゲーム数がいいかなぁ、なんて思ってたり…
新規層ライト層を取り込むにはテニスって試合が長くてダレて、1日中会場にいるってなると夜遅くまでいる事になったりとか、めっちゃしんどいなぁテニスって思ってるんですけど、そういうしんどさを味わうのがテニスだなぁとも思うのです俺は（爆）
