月曜日に豪華なレッスンを受けた２日前、僕は群馬県にいました。

関東でこの雪の量！
もうね、せっかくの正月休みはほぼずっと家中心、特に行きたいところもやりたい事も思い浮かばず、何とか群馬行きを捻り出したのが一日前。
とにかく雪を見るってだけの超アバウト日帰り旅だなぁと到着したらこの圧巻の雪！雪！雪！

駅に降り立つだけで大満足よ！
降り立つは水上駅。
本来の目的地は２つ先の土合駅ですが、まああまりにも突発的な旅なので電車の時間もイマイチ把握できてないまま来てしまった。
上越線は高崎から水上駅までで一旦途切れ、水上以降からまた日本海側へ向かうようで、次の電車は１時間後なのか、３時間後なのか、よく分からず。
時刻表に無い電車も臨時であるとか無いとか、でもジッとしていられず結局水上駅から２駅先の土合駅へ徒歩で目指す事にしてしまった。
行き当たりばったり、でも暇だからこういうスリルが欲しかったんですとも。
駅からちょっと歩いただけでも雪の町並みがもう地元と違い過ぎて素敵。
同じ関東でも雪国って感じ。
未知の町の冒険に胸が躍る。
・・・と思っていたらすぐに問題が起きる。
歩道が無い。
雪が積もりまくって人が歩けるスペースが無いじゃない。
バス停が時刻表ほぼ見えないし待ちようが無いレベルで積もってるし。
もしや歩いて行くのは全く適してないのではないかと不安が過ぎる。
でもまあとりあえず歩く！
てきとーに考えて、てきとーに群馬までやってきて、てきとーに進む！
全然準備していない分もはや何が待ち受けているのか、何と出会えるのか分からない、そんな旅。
積もった雪の合間から見えた根っこが、これは氷柱になっちゃってるのかな？こんなのも初めて見た。
途中で見えたバス停は漏れなく全部埋もれてました。
その中でも僕が選ぶトップはこれですかね。
待合室あるけどその前に入れないね。
お店とか特に無い道中にて、水上駅で降りてから初めて見たコンビニ。
さ・・・最後・・・！？
歩いて大体１時間ぐらい、そろそろ次の駅かな～ってところで遭遇した歩道橋。
ほぼ雪で埋もれてるじゃん、でも僕が選んだ道だとここを通るしか先に進めない。
誰かが通った形跡があるけど・・・それを頼りにやけに視点が高くなる歩道橋を渡った。
とまあ、自分の予想を遥かに超えて雪の積もった道を歩くのはきつかった(そりゃそうだ)
水上駅から次の駅の湯桧曽駅までの距離は4km。
更に土合駅まで歩くとなると4km追加となるが、ここまでの時点でかなり雪景色を堪能できたし、まあそこそこ疲れてくる距離、できれば電車に乗りたくなってくる。
改めて電車の時刻をよく調べてみると、やはり臨時列車というものが存在していて、丁度水上駅を出てから１時間後ぐらいに出ているらしい。
湯桧曽駅も見えてきているし4km歩いたなら丁度良い時間だろう、なんて思ってました。
全然間に合ってない！！！！！！
静かな山間にどこからともなく聞こえてくる音はどう見てもソレ！TRAIN！！
これを逃せば次の電車は(大体？)２時間後！
不覚・・・！！！
臨時列車の過ぎた湯檜曽駅へ無念の到着。
不意打ちのように現れた臨時列車を逃し思わぬダメージ。
どうやら完全に電車を頼れそうに無い事態に疲れがどっと押し寄せる。
しかしこうなればもはや俺のとる選択は一つ・・・！
行ってやろうじゃねぇか・・・！徒歩で・・・！！！
誰が電車なんかに頼るか・・・！！！
土合駅まで＋４ｋｍの旅・・・！！！
