テニスの漫画って希少価値高いですよねぇ（？）
連載されてるって聞くとついつい飛びついちゃいますよね。
今やっているのだとブレークバック。
ツイッターとか見てるとよく話題に出ますし、色んなスクールにサイン色紙置いているみたいですし。
テニスの日のポスターになってたベイビーステップもそうですけどテニス漫画って連載されるとテニス業界もそれに乗って、テニスを盛り上げる為に全体的に動いてるのかなって感じます。
でも作風的にベイビーステップはテニスの日のポスターになるのだろうか・・・（ぇ
ベイビーステップは良い意味で真面目なストーリー、真面目な主人公じゃないですか、ブレークバックってそうじゃないじゃないですか（笑）
最初に本格高校テニス巨編って銘打ってましたけど、テニスの描写は本格派ですが登場キャラは本格派から外れてる人しかいないと思います。
どいつもこいつも辛辣・・・人をガン無視するのは日常茶飯事、圧倒的強者の主人公でさえも生徒からシカトされる始末。
あとやたら変顔が多くてちょっと・・・って思う。
ただしやられ役も主役も全員変顔させられてるのである意味平等・・・？
ちょい役としてテニス選手やyoutuberとかテニスコートの妖精とかも出てくるのですがやっぱり変顔は必須。
格好良いだけのキャラがいないのはスポーツ漫画には珍しい。
そんな漫画なので、第一印象は変な奴だと思ったキャラが読み進めていく内にだんだんと良く思えてきたりする。
調子に乗っていてテニスを舐めているように見えたスポーツ万能キャラの五十嵐は、性格の割にスポーツに対して真摯で、泥臭い戦い方も躊躇しない。
口だけで下手っぴでいかにもなかませ犬の丸山は、頭に思い浮かべてるだけだった空論が段々と生きてくる。
超素材型の河野は・・・活躍はまだ先ですなぁ。
１から部活作って全国って漫画ではよくあるけどご都合主義、ブレークバックもそういうストーリーではあるのですが、７巻時点でまだそんな感じで中々主人公達のご都合通りには進まず。
主人公の上條はプレーでは超一流、そして態度も超クソデカの割にはコーチとしては思惑が外れる事もしばしば。
今のところは小学生時代にトップだった大城のワンマンパワーで勝ち進んでいるけど、今後強豪相手に初心者集団でどんな勝ち方にするのか見所だと思います。
あと、プレーや戦い方がリアルだと好評ですが、その一方で部活漫画としては部員達の友情の描写は希薄だと思います（笑）
チームワークはあるんだろうけど友達ではなさそう・・・（笑）
ベイビーステップもテニスはリアルと言われてますが、さて、エーちゃんの友人関係を思い返すと・・・
毎回応援に来てくれる影山、佐々木、諭吉がいて、ライバル関係でも難波江、荒谷とは仲良さそうだし深い描写は無くとも全体的に結構良好。
優等生だな～というか、良い人ばかりだなベイビーステップのキャラは。
でもギスギスした宿敵ポジションもいないな・・・
一方的に突っかかってくる神田君とは何やかんやで一緒に海外留学、タクマさんも一緒に練習してくれるし・・・。
何だかみんな友人、みんな良きライバルみたいな感じ。
一番のライバルは誰になるんだろ・・・初期から目の前に立ちはだかっていたタクマさん？似たタイプの難波江？最後に試合したクリシュナ？
ライバル関係とか友人関係の描写が良いなって思ったテニス漫画もお一つありまして、少女マンガなんですけどしゃにむにＧＯ。
素材型の初心者と挫折した元トップジュニア選手のダブル主人公体制で上の二つよりかなり王道的。
片方の主人公は強キャラだけど連敗続きで苦しんでる描写ばっか・・・負けが多いって珍しいな。
エーちゃんだと負けても相手に「何だあいつは・・・やべぇ・・・」って思わせる主人公上げが多いですけど、しゃにむにＧＯは負けたら負けですぐにはフォローが無く、とにかく沈む・・・そっからの立ち直りが良いんですけどね。
中盤以降は主人公ズ２人含めた４強で対抗馬が出てこないのが何だかなぁ・・・ってのもありましたが、個人シングルス・ダブルス・団体全部を県、関東、全国しっかり３年間戦い抜いた積み重ねがね、良いんですよね。
ちょっと古い漫画ですけどあの熱さは今でも読み返したくなりますね。
