今日やって来たのはタウンインドアテニスアカデミー八潮校。
１月オープン予定のできたてホヤホヤなインドアのテニススクール。
今日はタウンインドアテニスアカデミー八潮校で、アカデミーのコーチ陣とゴンちゃんによるレッスンイベントなのでした。
埼玉の八潮で皆から遠いだろと言われたけど、海老名でも小田急線、千代田線、つくばエクスプレスの３本で乗り換えはそこそこ快適。
時間かかったな～とは思ったけど、思い出したら八潮駅より先の流山おおたかの森で更に乗り換えて野田市まで行った事ありました。
このつくばエクスプレスで感じる旅っぽい感じ、そうね、１月に山内コーチと関口プロ・江原プロ・志賀プロのレッスン受けに行ったね。
てな訳で片道１時間４０分がどうした！？テニスの為なら行っちゃうぜ！どんと来いやー！
まだオープン前なのですが八潮校は今月から体験レッスンを受け付けていて、更にはゴンちゃんを始めゲストを呼ぶレッスンイベントも盛り沢山。
今回のゴンちゃんレッスンは午前の部、午後の部とあって両方とも無料。
僕は午後の部に参加させて頂きました。
午前に参加してレッスン終えたはずのかっちゃん、そして怪我してテニス休止中のこじもやっぱり来てました。
コートはカーペットなのでカーペット用のシューズが大量に用意されてました。
カーペットコートを持ってるスクールって専用のシューズじゃなきゃいけない所とオールコート用でもＯＫな所で分かれてますが、コチラはどうなんでしょうと思って、僕はたまたま持ってたカーペット用のを持参。
ちなみにコーチ達の履いてる靴みたらオールコートでした。
カーペット用って種類少ないし、自分が持ってるの古いし、僕としてはカーペットコートでやるとしたらオールコート用が使えたらとても嬉しいな。
あとインドアって言うと僕は照明の明るさも気になります。
照明あるのに暗いインドアだとボールが見え辛くてとてもやり難い・・・
八潮校は暗いなんて事は無く、むしろ照明＋窓からの光でとても明るかった。
でも僕はナイターの照明の明るさも苦手な人なので、ちょっと明る過ぎたかも・・・ってじゃあどこでならテニスできるんだ僕は。
そして天井も高いので開放的。
ロブが当たりそうな天井の低いインドアもありますのでここなら心配なく空間を使えそうです。
今回のゴンちゃんのレッスンは参加者からやりたい練習を聞いて行ってアドバイスするというものでした。
やりたい練習、まさかの参加者主導のレッスンでいきなり挙がるかなと最初は思いましたが練習メニューはすぐに決まりました。
そしてゴンちゃんも、通常の集団でやるレッスンって事前にメニューを考えてやるって言うのが部活でもスクールでも普通というか、場当たり的にやる人なんてそうそういないでしょうが、希望に沿ってすぐに練習を行うって凄いなと思う。
練習メニューを組んで、プレーして貰いながら一人一人自分の技術を伝えていくゴンちゃん。
ゴンちゃんの番が終わった後とか、イベント終了後とかでもゴンちゃんは参加者の相談に乗ってくれるのでグイグイと質問しちゃって良いと思います。

色んなスクールでよく見るダブルスのパターンの練習。コーチも混ざってプレー。
僕がまさかのアルバイトコーチだった時代もこういうパターン練をよくやった。懐かしい。
今ではもうコートとって好き勝手に打つだけですもん僕なんて。
色んな状況を想定した動きっていうのはスクールでこそかな。
個人、少人数でコート取った時だとあまりやらないタイプの練習のような気がする。僕だけですかね。
またコートを移ってタウンインドアテニスアカデミーの石橋コーチのレッスン。
ご存知の通り石橋コーチはテニスのゴンちゃんの動画でも既に出演。
動画ではフォアハンドではなくバックハンドのスライスをやっていました。
今回のレッスンはほぼフォアハンドストロークだけに焦点を絞って練習。
こういうレッスンは通常のスクールでもやっているのだろうか。
テニスで一番肝となりそうで、でもいつもやってるじゃんって感じのフォアハンド。
これを集中的にやるって言うのも珍しい気がする。
散々やっていると思っていたフォアハンドでもなるほどって発見がありました。
そんなこんなでコート３面、各レッスンを受け、記念写真を撮ってゴンちゃんレッスンは終了したのでした。
が、ゴンちゃんレッスンの後にはなんと、2017年全豪ダブルスベスト４、今年の東レのダブルスで優勝した加藤未唯プロのイベントレッスン！
１１月１５日までに八潮校に入会された方限定の超豪華レッスン。
なのでゴンちゃんに参加資格は無し。
ゴンちゃん、おかちゃん、そして僕、悲しみに暮れながら遠巻きに加藤プロを眺めるのみでした・・・。
ちなみに八潮校ではこれからAKB48の佐藤さん、バモスわたなべさん、杉山愛プロ、福井プロらのレッスンが入会者専用で連続して控えているそうです。
