テニスショップ巡りが高じてとうとう千葉にまでラケット持って飛んできてしまった自分。
欲しいものがあれば町田だろうと渋谷だろうとテニスショップがひしめき合う競合地域へ身を投じ、テニス用品に囲まれる・・・
そんな自分は先日、ローチェのウェアが欲しいと思い立って横浜へと向かいました。
昨年の楽天オープンでもブースが出ていたのですが、その時はダニエル太郎Ｔシャツのみを購入。
それ以来（以前もだけど）自分の活動範囲のどこの店を覗いて見てもローチェウェアは見当たらない。
トアルソン推しとしてローチェウェアに腕を通したい・・・
という事で今回は横浜中のテニスショップを歩き回って紹介しようと思います！
・・・横浜駅周辺しか行ってないですけど。
横浜駅のテニスショップと言えば、ときわスポーツとウィンザー。
どちらも複数店舗を展開し、手厚くユーザーをサポートするショップが二店とも東口に陣を構えています。
まずは東口を出て北に歩くとあるのがときわスポーツさん。
五階建てのビルでラケットスポーツのコーナーは二階。
一階は陸上コーナーになっているのでランシューとかコンプレッションウェアとかもあるのがテニスマンには嬉しいですね。
ときわスポーツさんの印象は、とにかく量が多い。
町田、八王子、吉祥寺にも行った事があるのですがどこもかしこも物だらけ。
特に町田店は量が自分の中ではトップです。
しかもＨＰに無理をします。とまで書いちゃってます。
値段、物量、とにかく勢いが凄いという印象です。
しかしローチェウェアは置いてませんでした・・・。
続いて、ときわスポーツさんとは道路を挟んだ反対側のスカイビル。
写真は反対側から撮ったんですけど、ここの９階にウィンザーラケットショップさんがあります。
ウィンザーさんは覚えている限りで確か僕が初めて行ったテニスショップでして、内装が白で統一されていて、綺麗なお店だなと思いました。
最近ではテニス雑誌に「わがままを言ってください。ここは専門店なんですから」なんてキャッチフレーズで登場しているのも心強い感じがします。
新作ガットのキャンペーンがあったり、メーカーから人を招いたり機械を用いるなどをしてラケットカウンセリングを開いたりと、専門店故のイベントがあるのが強みだと思います。
しかしローチェウェアはまたしても置いてませんでした・・・。
ときわさんとウィンザーさんに置いてなかったらもう無いんじゃないかと思えますが・・・しかし！
横浜駅からおよそ２ｋｍ、電車で３分のみなとみらい駅になんと２店舗まだスポーツショップがあるじゃないですか。
お散歩するにはイマイチな天気の中2kmの道程を歩き、クイーンズスクエアとMARK ISの狭間、パシフィコ横浜へ続く道にやってきました。
クイーンズスクエアにはスーパースポーツゼビオさん、MARK ISにはオーソリティさん、それぞれ大型スポーツ量販店が入っていてこの道路の距離で隣り合っています。
雨が降っていても駅のある地下道を経由すれば濡れる事無くすぐに行き来できますって、いや、近すぎるでしょ・・・。
まだまだテニスでは馴染みの薄いオークリーやアンダーアーマーが他種目のコーナーに揃っていたりするのが、テニス以外も色んなスポーツを扱う大型量販店のグッドなところかと思います。
僕が言った日、ゼビオさんは店頭でファイテンさん(だったと思う)の社員を招いて販売会を開催していました。
また、オーソリティさんはオリジナルブランドSA GEARのテニスウェアがベイビーステップとコラボしているなど、双方大型店舗の力強さを感じました。
しかし興味のあるオークリーウェアをたまたま見れたものの、お目当てのローチェウェアは置いてませんでした・・・。
ローチェウェアを探す旅は四戦四敗に終わりましたが、駅近辺四店舗はとても充実していると思います。
横浜の西区方面に足を運んだ際に、ふと思い立ったらふらっと気軽に寄り易い場所にあって、距離的に梯子できるのも良いですね。
